B Brown “Mission Oak” table lamp intended to evoke the image of a tree – the “affordable” and “every-man” version of the Tiffany table lamp of the same era. Brown lamps were rarely signed, including this one – but the origin is unmistakable. Classic proportions and free of over embellishment – this is the one all wanted and impossible to find in this original condition and most-popular green glass color – no dents, scratches or cracks. Only sympatico white ceramic socket is unlikely to be original. Mainstay of arts and crafts design for decades goes with any decor – from Stickley to Breuer. When it lits —very nice yellow, amber, honey, caramel hue granite backed tone colors — all glass panels are an original. The lamp base has some signs of usage and lamp shade in good condition/ only one lower small panel has crack/please look at the last picture/. Most popular and classic colors! In very good working order. Shade has 14 3/4″ x 14 3/4″ by 7″ high, lamp is 22″ tall by 7,5 at the bottom. Has very nice an original patina , an original finish on an oak wood lamp base. Single old original socket “BRYANT” with original switch to turn light on/off. It was rewired with period correct brown cloth cord with old plug. All parts are original. Vintage Slag Glass Lamp Shade Art Deco Nouveau Green Brown Blue Table Desk NR
VINTAGE SLAG GLASS LAMP SHADE. It’s medium-sized and measures approximately 15 3/4″ wide (flat side to flat side) or 18 3/8″ wide (corner to corner). The shade is not real deep and measures about 7 tall (from bottom edge to hole in top). The shade is hexagonal-shaped with 12 panels (6 top and 6 bottom). The top panels have slag glass that is a mixture of green and brown; the bottom panels are a mixture of blue and purple slag. The metal frame appears to be made of solid bronze (not certain) with a great Art-Deco scroll and floral design. The bronze has a very nice natural green patina that I chose not to clean. Condition of this vintage slag glass lamp shade is EXCELLENT. The glass panels are undamaged, except for a broken corner on one of the small blue/purple side panels (see last photo). As I mentioned previously, the bronze frame has a nice green patina that I chose to leave in its natural state. Overall, this vintage shade looks fantastic and would be a perfect replacement for an antique table lamp. Please take a close look at the many photos I’ve provided and judge condition for yourself.
