B Brown “Mission Oak” table lamp intended to evoke the image of a tree – the “affordable” and “every-man” version of the Tiffany table lamp of the same era. Brown lamps were rarely signed, including this one – but the origin is unmistakable. Classic proportions and free of over embellishment – this is the one all wanted and impossible to find in this original condition and most-popular green glass color – no dents, scratches or cracks. Only sympatico white ceramic socket is unlikely to be original. Mainstay of arts and crafts design for decades goes with any decor – from Stickley to Breuer.
