Antique Salem Brothers Slag Glass Stained Glass Panel Lamp Art Nouveau 6 Panels
Very nice Antique Salem Brothers slag glass, stained glass, panel lamp. 6 curved Caramel panels in all. Art Nouveau themed metalwork design comprises the shade framework. The very bottom of the base is cast iron, radial design. The Baluster center portion being made of hollow brass which is adorned with 3 small faces that of a Woman with long flowing hair in typical Nouveau fashion. 2 pull chain sockets that work just fine. The shade measures 17″ across, roughly 6″ in height. Overall height including the grey metal finial is 23. This is a damage free lamp, no degradation to the metal framework. Typical age related finish wear or darkening. All of the glass panel retaining clips are intact, some of the clips have been replaced or reattached as evidenced by what appears as new shiny solder at the areas where the clips meet the metal work. No looseness to the panels at all, no rattles or other concerns. New modern replacement wiring throughout, period style plug end, tested safe functioning lamp. From a New England estate. Shabby chic rose/pink paint on this antique Salem Brothers #10 six panel table lamp which measures 15″H X 7″W when assembled. The helmet-type shade measures 7″W X 5 1/4″H and has 6 white/caramel colored curved glass panels set with a metal framework of highly stylized laurel leaves and beaded swags. The tip of one panel (maybe 1 long) is missing from the inside of the shade where held in place by clipsit’s covered by the decorative metal framework of the shade. Base of lamp has the repeated beaded-with-swags decoration. Working condition in need a good cleaning. Stamped on base with maker’s mark and embossed “10″. This Antique Signed Salem Brothers Lamp has been fully restored to its original condition. It has new wiring but still retains the original socket. It shows a African Sahara scene with Lions, Gazelle in the reeds. A cottage with billowing smoke and the towering Acacia Tree dominating each panel. The lower panels show the rich green grass with the top panels showing many different colors to represent the hues of the sky. There are 12 panels and all are in excellent condition. Each filigree panel are slightly different and show quality workmanship from a bygone era. The shade measures 18″ across and the overall height is 26″. Large Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Lamp with Pottery Base Kiss Brothers
Arts & Crafts Lamp. Being offered is a very nice, large antique lamp with a pottery base and a large slag glass shade. The shade is 18″ wide (19 1/2″ point to point) with a brown, caramel colored slag glass with a flower overlay. The base stands 22 1/2 in height, the bottom portion of the lamp is pottery with same dark brown patina as the shade. It has 2 sockets and has been newly rewired with a period style cord and ready for use in your home. I do not know who made this lamp as it is not marked, but I believe Kiss Brothers made a pottery base in this Arts & Crafts design that looks like hammered copper. Antique SALEM BROTHERS #2 Six Panel Caramel Slag Glass Table Lamp Metalwork
From a New England estate comes this rare 6 panel Salem Brothers #2 table lamp with intact glass. Impressive in size, lamp measures 24″H and has a 7 1/2″W bronzed iron base. The shade measures 17 7/8″W X 12″H and is comprised of 6 panels of caramel/white slag glass, each separated by a floral-embossed metal framework which holds the glass in place and has stylized swags, birds, and flowers along the rim and top cap area. Each of the six panel areas has a delicate metal fretwork bird atop an urn. Three of these are completely intact, one is missing the bird, and two are partially intact (broken off bird piece tucked into the frame on one). The shade attaches to the base via a sturdy brass harp with a circular top which fits into the framework of the shade. Pierced top cap with brass finial. Wiring is intact and the lamp is in working condition. Base is bronzed cast iron with the mid section likely a mixed metal featuring an embossed, reeded Art Nouveau design with repeating flowers and garland. Antique Salem Brothers Bent Slag Glass Lamp Miller Bradley & Hubbard Styles
This is a really nice Antique Bent Slag Glass signed “Salem Brothers 1918″ , a Lamp with the lighted base. The Salem Brothers worked out of New York at the beginning of the 1900′s. The base is marked as above and I do not know if the 1918 is the date or a model number. Check out the photos. The lighted base Lamp stands 21 1/2 inches tall on its 8 inch base. The shade is 17 3/4 inches wide and 7 inches tall. All glass panels are complete and no cracks. The nifty original switch for turning the light on in the base is there and works fine. It is a real antique push/pull brass switch and works fine and looks great. The original finish is almost all present on the base and the finish is more worn on the shade. Just a great looking lamp with the overlay intact and nicely sculpted. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfectly.
