Mission arts crafts slag stained leaded glass lamp shade handel tiffany whaley
A extremely fine all original antique leaded slag glass with very fine bronze metal overlay work. A well documented very rare Whaley lamp shade in excellent condition. The slag glass that was used in this shade is second to none very vibrant and full of fire and intense colors the photo’s don’t do it any justice at all. The shade is very tight with no loose glass or leading. The original bronze patina on the leading is untouched and in excellent condition. It’s very seldom that I get to say this but there are no cracks or repairs to this very fine old shade. The untouched very dark patina on the extremely finely crafted bronze metal overlay work is in perfect condition. The shade is a little dirty but I will leave it up to the new owner to decide if they want to give it a gentile cleaning. This will also allow to be installed on many different lamp bases. There is a small flat spot on the shade fitter but will not affect it in any way that is shown in a photo. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Reverse Painted Lamp, c1920. This fantastic antique early 1900′s, BRADLEY & HUBBARD table lamp features a hemispherical shade which is reverse-painted with stylized flowers against ribbed glass with 6 curved glass panels, on a three-socket arts & crafts bronzed base with three pull chain lights. It is in very good antique condition. Panels are old and all very good with some minor paint loss, all metal work in the shade is there and nothing is broken. The glass is curved, ribbed and reverse painted from the inside. The ribbed glass creates a halo effect around the painted shapes and mutes the colors. It is very elegant at night. Awesome lamp when lit up. I believe it is very original including its finial at the top. This lamp has been rewired and has one replaced socket. Marked Bradley & Hubbard, base is marked 314B. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. That’s huge overall savings folks. I have for sale this excellent and properly signed, supersized Bradley and Hubbard lamp. This is a very nice looking and cool designed lamp that is VERY VERY seldom seen. I promise you, your neighbors dont have one. This lamp is big and heavy and measuring in at 27 inches tall with the shade being 22 inches wide. The base with no breaks or cracks or losses and in fine working order. The base in excellent original patina throughout and without losses. The original Bryant four socket cluster excellent with its original satellite pulls as well. All pulls work nicely and again the patina excellent and matching the base as it should. The base signed underneath the base plate with its B and H logo. The overlay shade also in very good overall condition and without damage of any sort. The coloration in the glass fantastic and better than i can project in the photos. Also i used only 7 watt bulbs for the photos, so when you put in four 25 watt soft whites, the color will jump out like no tomorrow. As for the filligree/overlay Im not seeing any losses there as Bradley and Hubbard always have strong metal for their overlays. All the glass holding tabs present and accounted for and the glass without losses or breaks. One jagged edge on one piece that means nothing but i mention it for accuracy purposes. Its also in very good condition for its age as well. This was a well taken care of lamp for the past 100+ years thats for sure. Please Check out my other items! Charles Parker Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great example of a Charles Parer leaded slag glass lamp. These guys made some terrific designs using a combination of leaded and slag glass pieces with heavy overlay. The result is one of the best overlay lamp designs out there. This one is a particularly nice floral pansy? Boarder example in excellent overall condition. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will say that the shade is in excellent condition without a single crack. It measures 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stand 22″ tall. The base has a wonderful dragon motif and is done in a coppery sort of finish (which matches the shade perfectly). The base has its original matching sockets with porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains as well as its original finial, and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. Mission Oak Wood Arts and Crafts SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP 21 High, Shade 13 1/2
This beautiful lamp is 21″ high, the shade 13 1/2″ in diameter, and the oak base 6 1/2 at the widest. From a California estate, the previous owner restored antique and vintage lamps as a hobby, and there was a very large shed full of lamps and lamp parts! I can find no chips, cracks or other damage to the glass and, as you can see in the photographs, it is beautiful when lit. There was about a 3 crack at the top of the wood base that has been repaired. You have to look close. The shade would benefit from increased stabilization, as there were originally 4 wood supports from the base to the shade. The electrical works fine. I believe the socket to be original, the brass shade support is not Thanks for looking! Antique Arts & Crafts Handel / Unique Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very nice Handel/Unique leaded glass tulip boarder table lamp. Great composition of pink petal tulips and granite backed leaves against a predominately caramel colored, hexagonal form background. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. In terms of size, this is a full sized table lamp with a 16″ diameter shade that stands 22 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see a couple of small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. There are no replaced pieces and the shade has that nice rattle of an old and original lamp. Patina on both the shade and base is just outstanding. For those of you who are new to this, the shade was made by Unique and the base is Handel. Neither are signed as was common, but both are guaranteed to be 100% authentic and date from the early 1900′s. The base has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy.
