Edward Miller Co. Antique 1920′s Slag Glass Table Lamp
Cast iron table lamp with a slag glass shade in very good working condition. This lamp measures 22 1/2 tall from base to top of finial. Diameter of the base is 7 3/4. There are no cracks on the base. It has one socket (appears to have been updated), which is turned on and off with a long chain. The base is the original color, which is a vintage bronze with a handsome patina to it, which can only occur over time. Under the base it is marked, ML Co 242, which translates to The Miller Co. This indicates that the lamp was made some time after 1924. The slag glass shade may or may not be the original to the base. It is a perfect match though with slag glass panels that have no cracks. The lowest panels are dark caramel brown, textured glass and someone cut the metal filigree from the four small glass sides the filigree pattern is still visible and some of this metal sticks out. The lamp shade measures. 14 1/8″ diameter and is 10 1/8″ high.

The ring of shade on the top is not very tight because one side of the welding jointing falls off. The cord has some tapes. Measures: 26″ Tall (from finial to base) Base diameter 7″. Gorgeous circa 1920s Arts & Crafts Peacock Slag Glass Table Lamp with oak-leaf base. In the style of William Morris. The shade features an ornate peacock design in metal over pale yellow slag glass panels. The base has an Art Nouveau oak-leaf-and-acorn motif. I’m not sure if the base and the shade are original to each other. Takes 2 standard bulbs. The piece has patina and wear consistent with age and use. One glass panel is a replacement. The round piece that the shade rests on has a hairline crack – see photos. Shade 18″ dia, 8.25″ high, 4 opening at top. Lamp 25″ tall with finial, base 9″ dia. Antique Arts & Crafts 1920s Caramel Slag Bent Panel Stained Glass Miller B&H Era
Up for sale is an early 1900s Arts and Craft Tiffany style bend slag glass panels lamp. It has a matching shade and base as you can tell from the flowers on each. The shade retains about 1/2 the original finish the lamp base closer to 90% of the original finish. As you can see the panels are all original and matching and the retaining tabs are not missing and have not been changed out. I did rewire this lamp with period correct cloth cord, and it goes all the way to the sockets, it was not hacked in like you see so often by sellers that do not know how to run the cord. The shade holder does move a little bit, it is not broken it just isn’t completely tight, it does not bother anything when the shade is on it. Up for consideration is this Antique Art Deco Figural Lamp Lady Kneeling with Brown Curved Slag Glass Shade, circa 1920′s. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. There is what looks like solder on one of the slag glass panels (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in glass but there are light scratches (see photos).
