This is a very big lamp folks as the base measures 26 inches tall and the shade is 22 and 1/2 inches wide. The base in original patina and in wonderful condition. Its properly signed with the b and h triangle logo and retains its original three socket cluster and acorn pulls. The base also very heavy and well made of course with with a great embossed leaf design on the lower portion. The shade in equally nice condition as well and without any glass segments missing and the leading tight and right throughout. The inside of the glass granite textured and the outside smooth. It has fantastic color as you can see, and i only see a couple of tight stress/age cracks that dont detract from the lamp at all in any way shape or form. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. In plenty of time for christmas, i have this exceptional and super well made slag glass leaded wisteria floor lamp. This is the largest and heaviest lamp i have ever owned. The glass fantastic and way better than the pictures allow. I have never seen another floor lamp like this, with its heavily embossed tree trunk/form design for the base and the great leading and design in the shade. This is a large floor lamp in that the base measures 68 inches tall and the shade is 26 inches wide. The base without damage of any sort and super well made in order to support such a heavy and well made shade. The base with a 4 socket cluster with the bulbs turned sideways vs from the top, so it can light the shade better. Very smart i have to say. Very nice patina on the base which matches the patina on the shade of course. No metalware damage to be found and in fine working order. The shade also in fine original condition. I see no signs of repair or replaced glass and all glass present and accounted for. I see no loose pieces of glass and the shade very sturdy in all respects. Sometimes these types of shades have weakspots due to their design and structure but this one certainly does not. The leading throughout very heavy and super well done. Maker unknown but i would classify this lamp, and im quite certain the new owner would too, as being of excellent overall quality, design, and manufacture. This is also not a period lamp and of more recent vintage, but quality is quality and it never goes away, and yes even in this day and age, every once in awhile things come into our lives that have it and this most assurdly does. The glass usage and coloration thereof is fantasic. The way they put in the mottled glass for the darker color purple and then offset it with natural glass for the lighter in an alternating pattern is very cool to me. The darker purple mottled glass then stand out alot more in contrast to the lighter thats on both sides of it. Pretty artistic and smart indeed. The shade so well made and heavy it takes to people to set on top of the base. So there you have it folks. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. I have owned hundreds of b and h’s and looked at countless thousands of others and i have never seen this one before and Its in very good overall condition as well. This is one of bradley and hubbards nost desired bases and i believe to be referred to as a bean pot base. It has the bradley and hubbard telescoping feature (that no other makers used probably because it was patented, im not sure) where the owner can raise or lower the shade to its desired height simply by turning a knob. The base as pictured is 22 inches tall and the shade is 18.5 inches wide. The base weighs a ton and is super well made as most of b and h’s stuff always was. Its has been recently rewired with period correct cloth cord and with no metalware damage at all. The sockets have been updated because the other ones were too damaged and not working so for safety reasons we had to change those out. The base with aged/worn patina balanced throughout but still mostly gold in color. This matches the shades leaded patina in the lower border detail design work which is strangely also gold in color whereas the upper leaded pieces are in a very nice chocolate color. I have never seen that type of effort put forth before and it looks really cool. B and h wanted to accentuate the detail/design work so outside of using different pieces of glass, they decided to also highlight it with a gold colored leaded patina. The shade with very nice glass and depending on the viewers perception, the color is either blue or green. Im saying green, some might say blue. Its a color i have never seen used before in majority of shade work like b and h has done but im sure as an accent color. I promise you, you will be pleased with the way this color presents itself as well as the shade design. The leading tight and right throughout and without any missing glass. I see no stress cracks in any of the pieces of glass. This is as arts and crafts as it gets folks. Thanks for looking and please check out my other cool lamps I have up for sale now as well. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Offered for sale is a vintage electric boudoir lamp. This has slag glass shade and base panels. 4 in the top and 5 in the base. As you can see it’s urn shaped. This is in working condition but one might consider a rewire as this appears to maybe have been rewired perhaps in the 1950′s based on the unpolarized plug and it’s overall style. I’m not sure of the base metal but a magnet won’t stick to it but it may be a cast brass as the inside retaining strips and clips for the glass panels look to be bright brass. I can find no makers mark anywhere and can’t say if it’s American or European in manufacture. The condition is what I’ll call very good to excellent. There is no damage to be found. All the Slag glass panels are not cracked anywhere. None of the metal work is broken or loose. This is all original with no cleaning or restoration other than the early rewiring mentioned earlier. It gives the most lovely soft yellow hue when lit. The item “EARLY VINTAGE SLAG GLASS PANEL ELECTRIC BOUDOIR LAMP URN SHAPED REMOVEABLE TOP” is in sale since Sunday, November 27, 2016. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Lamps, Lighting\Lamps\ Electric\Table Lamps”. The seller is “thefort” and is located in Wheeling, West Virginia. This item can be shipped to United States.
