Here’s a large and very rare Handel poppy lamp base. This massive base works with their best shades. 25″ tall and about 10″ in diameter at the widest part. Complete with matching Hubbell stamped sockets having their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. Complete with cap and finial. Prominently signed HANDEL on the underside. Vintage Signed Bradley & Hubbard Slag Glass Poppy Design Lamp
Vintage Signed Bradley & Hubbard Slag Glass Poppy Design Lamp. This is a wonderful vintage caramel slag glass electric lamp. The shade is approximate 16 in diameter and is tan & brown in color. There is a poppy flower design around the shade and on the base. Two of the six glass panels are cracked. The lamp measures approximate 20 tall and is signed on the bottom. One of the inside of the electrical socket has been replaced. Some of the finish is missing from the shade and base. (please see pictures) The electrical cord is not the original cord. The underside of the 8″ diameter base of this early 20th century Table Lamp is marked “CC Co. ” Around the outside of the base are Egyptian Pharaoh Heads and these same heads are found around the bottom rim of the large 18″ diameter 6-panel Slag Glass Shade. Measuring 24 1/2 tall, this Egyptian-Revival Slag Glass Lamp retains its original brown painted surface and the caramel/green slag glass panels are also original and perfect. The wiring is original and although this lamp still works, we always recommend having antique lighting checked by a professional before using it in your home.
