This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The handel base measures 24 inches tall and the shade is 18.5 inches wide, so this is a large lamp folks. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has a three socket cluster and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old plug. The patina worn a little bit on the base as would be expected for a 100 year old base. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 8 or so, here or there as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. Very nice patina on the leading throughout as well. As far as i know, only handel shades fit handel shade rests and thats been the standard for me for 20+ years. So could this be a handel shade, i say yes. Is it signed no. Either way an extremely nice shade handel or not on a very nice signed handel base. Base also coming with the very desirable tepee shade rest which adds more character and depth to the overall appearance. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. And Eau Claire, WI. The family that owned the estate kept all their antiques in clean, immaculate condition. All parts of the lamp appear to be original, and the lamp itself looks as if it was rarely, if ever, used. We believe this lamp may have been created by the Peterson Art Furniture Co. Located in Faribault, Minnesota, in the early 1900′s. It is crafted in solid oak and it’s beautiful slag glass is shaded in pastel green and pink. It measures 23″ tall, 19″ square, and weighs 12.5 lbs. The base measures 8 x 8. The condition is incredible, and at 100 years of age, it works wonderfully with all it’s original parts. We encourage any and all questions concerning this lamp. Our commitment to you: This lamp will be packed in a professional manner. For safety in travel, we plan to use all the packing materials necessary to ensure it arrives in it’s original condition. It is our sincerest desire to satisfy with the items we sell. Antique Bradley & Hubbard? Slag Glass Cast Iron Arts & Crafts Mission Oil Lamp. Measures 20 inches tall. Since this is an original, there is a couple of things that will have to be addressed. First is the chimney, there is not one. Second is there is no wick, since this lamp is not electrified, it will have to be replaced. The bottom has the stamp “1315 lamp base”. The font tank and wick feeder is a “success” name brand and works freely. Pictures do not do this rare find justice. The green slag glass is a phenomenal color and not the dull stuff I have seen before. The cast iron is not broken or cracked in any way which makes this a very collectible piece! The rivets and screw types that hold this lamp together are of the correct era. We have seen many B & H lamps of this exact type, but this one lacks the actual name. A beautiful lamp for the SERIOUS collector. Please Read: (its not long). No APO, FPO, or other military addresses. What a cool design and nice look. Its a midsized lamp and as such more multi purpose. The base measures 22.5 inches tall and has no damage or issues. Its got its original patina throughout and its in very nice condition. It’s been recently rewired with period and old style, and correct cloth cord. The sockets updated as well. The shade measures 16.5 inches wide. The shade in very nice overall condition and has no glass breaks in the upper light caramel panels or in the blue border panels. The filligree all in place and also without losses. The shade not out of round at all and i see no breaks in the metalware. All in all a very nice period lamp and this lamp without reserve. This lamp is a full sized lamp measuring in at 20 inches tall with the shade being 16 inches wide. Please notice the fantastic detail in the base. The socket had to be updated due to age and stress and for safety reasons and its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style socket. The base without any damage to speak of and its in fine original patina throughout. The shade without any broken glass or chips or cracks and the filligree overlay all present and accounted for and without any breaks at all. The glass a very nice rippled green and it lights up 10 times better than my photos depict. The framework very strong on the shade as this is a very well made lamp. Maker unknown but of bradley and hubbard quality for sure. BEAUTIFUL WOODEN PRARIE STYLE ARTS AND CRAFTS LAMP WITH ORIGINAL WIRING IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. IT APPEARS THAT THE FINISH IS ORIGINAL, please refer to detailed pictures of the seams of the piece. It has a nice dull warm luster to it’s patina and no signs of dripping from newer refinish work. Two of the arms, maybe just one, seems to have broken and then glued some time ago. I feel that this was do very well and does not detract from the aesthetics of this awesome adornment. This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The base measures 24 inches tall and the shade is 19 inches wide, so this is a large lamp folks. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has a three socket cluster and the patina original to the base and very nice throughout. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 2-4 or so that are here or there and as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. Very nice patina on the leading throughout as well.
