Metal Art Deco Lady Woman Figural Boudoir Lamp With Unique Vtg. Slag Glass Shade
This lamp is very unique and so lovely. It was possibly cold painted, but I’m not certain. It really doesn’t have much wrong with it, slight paint loss and 3 very small cracks on the bottom around the opening (doesn’t affect integrity of the lamp at all). The 2 1/4 fitter slag glass shade has the most wonderful and unusual designs on it, super gorgeous colors and it has no cracks. With the shade on, it stands approximately 15 inches tall. THE HUGE(23 DIAMETER) SLAG GLASS SHADE WITH ORIGINAL GLASS FRINGE WAS LIKELY ADDED AT THE SAME TIME, IT LOOKS STUNNING WHEN LIGHTENED. Antique Very Rare Beautiful & Ornate Figural Slag Glass Lamp Bronze
BEAUTIFUL RARE BRONZE FIGURAL SLAG LAMP. Absolutely stunning and very special, rare bronze metal figural slag lamp. Age unknown, but most probably from the 1920s, if not earlier. I havent seen one like this before. There are three maiden faces on the lamp itself. There are more maiden images encircling the shade along with faces that appear to be perhaps Medusa or some royal figure. The lamp is very intricate and beautifully detailed with images of griffins, floral vases, grapes, and lattice work. This magnificent lamp measures about 26 1/2 tall including the finial. The shade measures approximately 19 in diameter. The lamp is very heavy and substantial. The glass panels are done in a very tasteful trio of colors including vanilla, caramel, and chocolate and look to be in superb condition with no cracking. The lamp is in astonishingly good condition, especially for its antiquity, with normal patina and finish wear (see photos) commensurate with age. Its only temporary flaw is that one of the sockets is not currently working (although this should be a quick and inexpensive fix at a lamp repair shop). The shade and lamp appear to be a match, but I could not find a makers mark on the shade itself to confirm this. Up for consideration is this Rare Awesome One of a Kind Antique Figural Hernando Desoto (we believe), Bridge Arm Lamp featuring Square Four Panel Carmel Slag Glass Shade Table Lamp. It features a inline on/off switch. The lamp socket is very old and rare and is a screw on style, actually one like we have never seen! And that is saying something because we are lamp people!! It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. This lamp is something we have been working for quite some time and is a mix of different lamps. It is in as found condition. There was something on his right knee but we cleaned it but it is still in gallery photo. There are areas of corrosion, rust, missing paint, fading and just plain general signs of age over time (see photos). We could find no breaks or cracks. The bridge arm came off a floor lamp from a antique store in Collins, Mississippi. The bridge is in great condition, except there are areas of patina or tarnish (see photos). It features an adjustable ball joint socket fitter, but it’s kinda flexible and the shade is fairly heavy so we might want to caution that it may tend to relax over time. The shade was found online. No chips or cracks in any of the cream or beige slag glass. There are areas of missing filigree, rust, patina & tarnish (see photos). There are no structural breaks in the lamp shade. This Is a great looking at 1920s, Frankart spelter metal figural boudoir lamp featuring a nice original nude lady statue at the center with a replacement slag glass panel on the back that could easily be updated with an original piece of glass. The wiring appears to be original and should be looked over before use. This is a Great looking Art Deco era 1930′s parlor Lamp featuring an Impressive Reticulated Metal Portion with Winged Griffins backed with Beautiful Blue & White Slag Glass. The top corners are decorated by Seated Indians with another 4 figural Busts on the Post. The finish is lightly worn and the top pieces of lighting have been removed years ago but the style & Back Lit Griffins are Simply To Die For! This lamp would be prefect for display where the top is not overly visible or you could easily restore the top portion back to its original former glory. Overall a Very Seldom Seen & Unique Lamp. 1 of 50+ Estate Fresh Items Picked Weekly. Solid as can be with light age wear to the finish. The top at one time was wired with 4 “stems” coming out of the top but they are no longer present.
