Beautiful design to the metal frame that holds the 6 slag glass panels. He top part is done as a lid and is removable. The base of the lamp has E M & Co embossed on it in the molding process. Can see bubbling in them when the glass was cast, nice touch to reflect age. The lamp dates to the circa 1920s to the 1930s period. One of the 5 glass panels was broken in the past, about 1/3 of the way down. The crack repair can be seen on both the inside and out. Very intricately detailed metal frame that is gold colored with a raised floral design. Just beautiful when lit, and yes, this lamp does work (no bulb will be provided)! All the metal frame seems to be intact, no missing pieces or repairs. The metal base has a raised floral design on it. The electric cord on the lamp was replaced at some point. Still looks to be in good shape, no cracking or fraying. Interesting tie-in of the wiring under the lamp base. You may want to have an electrician take a look at before you use for any length of time. The Vtg Edward Miller Slag Glass Lamp is 21-1/8″ tall, by 16″ across at the widest part of the shade, by 7.25 across the base.
