Antique Bent Green Slag Glass Table Lamp, Bradley & Hubbard Era
I think this is one of the most elegant slag glass lamp designs with art nouveau stylized lilies on the shade. Beautiful green slag glass lamp in excellent condition: no cracks to the glass panels, the filigree is all in place. Although not marked, I have seen this shade listed in the Empire Lamp catalogue. The base shows signs of wear but is rewired with rayon old fashion style cord and has old sockets. Finial and shade rest are not original but stylistically correct for this lamp. Description: Up for sale is this large stately 6 panel bent glass lamp made by Rainaud. Rainaud was out of Meriden, CT and active between 1916 and 1930. Lamp has a single bulb controlled by a pull cord. Wiring is contemporary and in good working condition ready for service but as with any electrical device please examine before using. Lamp base is heavy and sturdy and able to support the large shade. Shade consists of 6 large panels of bent slag glass. The filigree is a floral chrysamthemum design with an Art Nouveau flare. ALL the METAL WORK ON THE SHADE & BASE IS IN PERFECT CONDITION – NO CRACKS, DENTS, DINGS – THERE IS NOTHING BROKEN, NO WEAR AND NOTHING MISSING. One of the clamps which holds the base of one of the glass panels has been replaced. THIS IS A REALLY NICE BASE WITH GREAT DESIGN. THE LAMP HAS BEEN RE-WIRED & THE 2 OLD DECREPIT SOCKETS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW 3-WAY PULL CHAIN SOCKETS, LAMP IS NOT SIGNED THAT I CAN SEE.
