This is a very nicely designed lamp from about the best maker the world has ever seen. Its in fine overall condition with no breaks or damage and its in fine working order as well. The shade without any brickwork overlay losses and the same for the glass-no breaks or cracks. There is no metalware damage on the base. It measures 16.5 inches tall and is 9.5 inches wide. Gorgeous Handel Leaded glass lamp! Signed HANDEL on back side of base (see pics) Shade: there are a lot of “so called Handel shades” there were a mess of knock off Handel shades in the 1980′s and 90′s. The shade is solid and well made Handel style aperture ring. One way to tell the knock offs is the ring will NOT fit a Handel cap. This one fits perfectly. Leading looks aged inside and out. The eye of the flowers. Newer made shades, eyes in flowers are beads of glass. Old shades eyes are cut pieces of glass, as with this shade. Foot is 8 wide. Shade 18.5″ wide 8″ deep. Normal 3 5/8 Handel aperture. 3 Hubbell pull chain sockets all with acorn pull chains. Wired with a period style cloth cord & vintage plug. Bring a little SPRING into your home early! It has a beautiful three socket socket cluster and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old style plug. The patina nicely aged throughout with only a slight blemish here or there but very very minor in that respect. The base with its matching Handel cap and finial and in fine working order. The glass in this shade is pretty nice as you can see in the photos and i only used two 7 watt bulbs for the photos and look how vibrant the colors are. This is a full sized lamp in that its measuring 21 inches tall and the shade being 18 inches wide. The base is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard underneath the base plate and its in very nice original chocolate brown patina with all three period sockets matching one another and in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the very heavy and well made base. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. Nice quality glass and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. A stray tight age crack here or there, but certainly nothing to be alarmed about as they are very tight and not going anywhere for another 100 years. I see maybe 3-4 thats all. All the leading tight and right and a very nice geometric arts and crafts pattern in the top part of the shade with a stylized flowers and green leaves in the lower part of the shade 360 degrees around the border. All in all a very nice arts and crafts style lamp, by one of the best makers there ever was and in very nice overall condition. You cant beat that. C 1905 Unique Art Glass co. What makes these lamps are the art glasses used in making them. You can find Periwinkle Unique Art lamps but the ones with the right glass explode with beauty when lit! LOOK at the top glass Tiffany used the same glass that’s on the top geometric part of this shade. I think I saw one hairline fracture in one of the green leaves that’s it and that’s from heat normal wear, better than normal it’s amazing! Shade is 16″ wide 9″ deep. Base is gorgeous as well with appropriate cap with attached finial. 3 Eagle sockets with satellite pull chains. Nice brown cloth cord & vintage style plug. Mission arts craft stained slag glass roycroft stickley dirk van urp copper lamp
A large incredible antique all original very very rare mission arts & crafts signed G. Trautmann Raven Wood Chicago hammered copper and leaded slag glass table lamp in excellent condition. This is one of the most beautiful lamps on e-bay and certainly one of the rarest that’s ever been on e-bay for that matter. I have never seen any other lamp anything like this one. I believe this lamp is a one of a kind. I don’t believe he ever mass produced lamps. I can only find very little about him but have found other examples of his work and have had a few of his lamp bases over the years that weren’t signed. Another lamp I did find of his that was signed had a date of 1909 with the signature. If anyone one knows any thing about him please contact me with the information. This lamp is truly a very finely hand crafted work of art from a master craftsman. He even made his own chain pulls for the socket switches. You rarely see this amount of detail in any lamp that I know of. The original patina is in very good untouched condition with some minor loses as shown. This lamp is extremely dirty being in a storage unit for more than thirty years and could use a very good cleaning that would only enhance the beauty of the original incredible slag glass in this shade and the patina on the copper. I have left it as found for the new owner to determine how and what to clean there is 100 years of dust and dirt on it. There are no cracks in any of the slag glass panels. I did have to make some very minor repairs to some of the leading by re-soldering it together where it had separated over time and now its good for another 110 years. There are some minor small dents in the shade that will be shadowed by the sheer beauty of this lamp as shown. I have listed this lamp twice so I could post more photos of it.
