SIGNED BRADLEY & HUBBARD ARTS & CRAFTS SLAG GLASS LAMP c1905 ANTIQUE NOUVEAU
For sale is a stunning antique slag glass lamp made around 1905 by Bradley & Hubbard. It stands about 22″ high, and the 8-sided shade measures about 19″ in diameter at its widest point. The lamp features a beautiful stylized palm frond overlay on the shade, with a similar motif on the metal base. The stained slag glass features incredible greens, yellows, and reds. The style of this lamp harkens to both Arts and Crafts as well as Art Nouveau styling. Condition of this lamp is very fine estate condition – please see condition description and photos for important condition details. I do not know if the light socket assembly is original or not. The lamp appears to have been rewired at some point as it has a plastic covered cord and a plug that likely dates from the 1930′s. The lamp has a “B&H” stamp on the bottom that is revealed when the bottom plate is loosened and rotated. The shade is stamped “Pat’d Aug 1 05″ along one of the metal rails. STUNNING Antique Arts Crafts Slanted Slag Glass Ornate Scenic 6 Panel Lamp Shade. Condition is “Used” with some paint/enamel wear throughout. Some light rust on the other side lip, see photos. Its a metal with a cream enamel, hints of color throughout to accentuate the scene. The bottom glass is made to look like grass the the top has a blue with spots of purple for maybe a sunset. The home has a fireplace going, super cozy, super detailed, I have not seen another like it. No damage to glass or metal as far as cracks or repairs, it is old, it is not mint condition. The wear just shows how authentic it is and give it such gorgeous patina. The top opening is 4.5 round. The bottom is 16″ and is 7.5″ tall. If you have any questions please ask. Beautiful Antique Wilkinson Slag glass lamp c 1909. Yes a Wilkinson Slag lamp is built to last and this one has. Some glass has been replaced but all is in great shape no cracks no chips. I enjoy the difference in the panels you can turn the shade to your favorite placement. Stands 25″ tall 7.5″ foot. Shade flat side to side is 17.5″ 7″ deep. Shade weighs 17 lb base is at least 12 lb. Very solid with all filigree in tact. I have to sell lamps to get more I’ve had this some time now time to turn over. If you want what your neighbors dont have, this is it. The glass quality and coloration in the shade very nice throughout as you can see. This is a full sized lamp is measuring in at 24.5 inches tall with the shade being 18 wide so its a full sized lamp folks. The Bradley and Hubbard lamp base has been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. The lamp is in fine working order and going to be around another 100 years. The base signed near the top with the b and h triangle logo. As for the shade that is also good overall condition. No breaks or cracks in the glass, nor any missing glass segments. Again the shade measures 18 inches wide. The geometric design really sets this shade off as well as the coloration and it lights up very nicely and gives off a nice warm feel. This is a very nice looking and designed lamp and it lights up incredibly. Not a very common lamp for sure and this one is in excellent overall condition. This is also a very large lamp measuring in at 25 inches tall with the shade being 20 inches wide, so lots of bang for the buck here folks. The base in good working order and recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. The base also in original gold patina throughout and thats in very nice overall condition on the base as well. The base without any metalware damage at all and the embossing is really something so please look at the detail both in the base and on the filligree on the shade. The filligree on the shade also in excellent condition with no losses or breaks there. The glass free of chips, cracks, or losses of any sort. Lamp and shade unsigned but 1000% documented and known to be a Parker, so no question to authenticity there. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. This is an early 2oth century slag glass lamp. The shade and base are a marriage but are well proportioned to each other. The base is very heavy! The shade features 6 curved panels with lots of green accents. Two of the panes have repaired cracks. These are noticeable on closer inspection. We have used this shade in our home for a while and turned the repaired panels towards the wall and they went unnoticed. The lamp has 2 working sockets as pictured. This is a beautiful, early 20th century slag glass lamp in wonderful condition for it’s age. The lamp features a large, heavy and very ornate base with what looks to be all original finish. The shade matches and features 6 large curved panels and 6 smaller ruby red panels. All glass is free of cracks or damage. The lamp appears to be all original excpt for maybe the finial, sockets and cord. We collect and handle a lot of this type of lighting and can say this one is larger than average.
