CA: 1910 – 1915 – NOT A NEW or REPRODUCTION SCONCE. WITH 4 RARE BRONZE POLYCHROMED PARROTS IN THE ART NOUVEAU / ARTS & CRAFTS STYLE. GREAT ORIGINAL TEXTURED FIERY BENT & LEADED SLAG GLASS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. GREAT PATINA – ZERO DAMAGE and 100% ORIGINAL, EXCEPT FOR THE WIRING and 1 SCREW. IT CAME OFF THE WALL OF A CHATHAM, CAPE COD HOME. THE SCONCE INCLUDING THE 4 PARROTS IS BRONZE – NOT POT METAL or CAST IRON. THE BACK PLATE and CENTER S CURVED BRACKET IS COPPER – WITH GREAT GREEN / BROWN PATINA. THIS IS A GREAT and RARE ALL ORIGINAL TURN OF THE CENTURY SCONCE. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful antique wall sconce lamp. Great Arts & Crafts/Gothic design. The metal has a brass finish. Mounts on the wall and the lamp part hangs down. There are four green slag glass panels. Over all measures 12″ tall x 7″ wide. Extends from the wall 9. Shade alone is 7 square. The back plate that goes on the wall measures 5 1/4″ x 6 3/4″. Offered is a old circa early 1900s Bradley & Hubbard Wall Sconce with Murano Glass Overlay Shade free of any cracks. Couple corner nicks not worth mention. Measures approximately 11 high 8 wide shade. This is a very scarce fixture with not many survivors. It appears this was painted many many moons ago. One could keep as found or restore. Wiring is old and will need replacing due to age. All worth the effort for this iconic piece. Please view photos for detail as well as condition.
