Restored Antique Green Slag Glass Gilt Lead Pewter Lamp Arts & Crafts, Mission
For your consideration is this vintage slag glass accent lamp. It has been restoredre-gilt and rewired. The cord is the appropriate cloth-wrapped style cord and vintage plug as may have been found on this style lamp when it was new. As you can see in the photos, the 3-way switch allows for 3 different lighting positionsjust the top, just the base, or top and base together. The original slag glass is a lovely moss green shade. The body and shade of the lamp is made out of lead/pewter and brass. The pewter has a bit of flexibility to it. The lamp has been re-gilt and antiqued. This is the appropriate finish as was on the lamp originally. Since it has been rewired, It is in good working order. All the slag glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It stands about 13 tall. Perfect for an Arts & Crafts or Mission decor. From a South Carolina estate. This one is SO UNIQUE in shape – a “Twist” or “Swirl” to the whole shade – so eye-catching! Lovely scalloped bottom edge with tiny “dot” details along the edges. Excellent condition – no chips, cracks, breaks or missing pieces or missing lead. Gorgeous multi-colors of slag glass. In the photos this is shown on a lamp with yellow-toned bulbs, however if you use whiter-toned bulbs you will see different color tones.
