Antique Rare and Massive circa 1920 Scenic Egyptian Slag Glass Hanging Lght
This listing is for a rare and massive antique circa 1920 two tone scenic slag glass hanging light shade chandelier with a scenic Egyptian style boarder with camels, pyramids and palm trees. The shade is in good condition. I can see one crack as shown in the last photo. Having said that it is an antique so I can’t guarantee that there aren’t small flaws that i missed. So take a look carefully at the pictures. It needs to be rewired (hence I wasn’t able to really light it and show it off at its best). It will most likely be less. Two pull chain sockets (look updated) Cord and wiring look original. 24″ to top of finial, 9″ base, shade 16 diameter. Shade 7 lb 12.7 oz. Base 7 lb 12.6 oz. Excellent used antique condition. Some paint missing inside top ring. Some paint wear on finial and some edges of lamp shade frame. No chips, cracks or repairs. Normal wear from use and age. Unusual Slag Glass Art Nouveau Lamp Circa 1900-1910
This lamp is probably French or German in origin. The wrought iron base has mica inserts that light up as well. This is a great example of hand made European Art Nouveau.
