Antique PLB 8 Panel 20 Steel Lamp Base with 15 Slag Glass Shade withOrnate Brass
Available is a beautiful antique Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company PLB & Co. 20 1/2 inch bronze painted steel lamp base with a matching eight panel 15 diameter creamy brown slag glass shade. It has a single pull chain socket and features an ornate brass plants / leaves filigree overlay finish. As mentioned the lamp has a 15″ diameter slag glass shade (8″ high) featuring ornate brass or bronze filigree pattern, mounted on a 20 1/2 inch painted bronze steel base with a single pull-chain socket. The markings on the base read “PLB & CO” along with the number “2055″. The shade is not marked with PLB that I can find but they were obtained together from a family estate and are an obvious match in color, style, fit and finish which was common of PLB styles of the era. The lamp base weighs 4 lbs 6 oz. And the lamp shade weights 7 lbs. For a combined weight of 11 lbs. The lamp base and shade are clean and in very good condition. The shade is slightly tilted to one side (the harp needs to be straightened). One panel has a missing section of the brass filigree and another panel has one small piece of filigree broken. There is a gap at the top of one panel where light might shine through. There is no broken or significantly cracked glass. There are some minor paint chips and green oxidation. The cord was previously upgraded with a green color plastic cord. The single pull chain single lamp socket appears to be the original.
Antique Carmel Slag Glass 8 Panel Shade & Lamp withOrnate Brass Trim Overlay
This is a vintage or actual antique flower design slag glass table lamp featuring a beautifully crafted 8-panel Carmel glass shade with an intricate brass trim overlay and a 3 vertical apron with a floral pattern. The large slag panels have a creamy, marbled finish. The panels are secured with tabs on the inside. The brass trim is ornate, with detailed floral and leaf motifs. The heavy brown painted spelter lamp base is also ornate with elaborate carvings. The lamp has two sockets with individual pull chains and the electrical cord was replaced at some point (although the plug appears older). There are no markings on the lamp base or shade that I can find. Lamps of this style were made by. Bradley & Hubbard, Edward Miller Co. And others, so it could be an original or a good reproduction. The lamp is clean and in good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age including some peeling paint on the base and cap / shade attachment parts. The steel bottom of the lamp base is corroded with some remnants of paper still attached. The glass panels show some light scratches and other minor mars. See photos for exact condition. The lamp measures approximately 22″ tall with a shade diameter of 16-1/2″. The lamp with base and shade is a very hefty 19 lbs!

Up for sale I have this amazing gorgeous ANTIQUE SCENIC SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP with a unique heavy ornate base SLAG GLASS SHADE has four sides with 8 panels there are no markings that I could find on the base or the SHADE TABLE LAMP is 25 1/2″ tall to top of finial by 6 1/4″ square at the base SHADE is 9 1/2″ tall by 15 1/2″ round at the bottom TABLE LAMP is in excellent antique used condition when considering the age there are no chips or cracks in the SLAG GLASS however there are some imperfections in the metal scenic work from over the years two of the panels have some missing metal work on a tree and one panel has one of the boaters that is broke off the fancy ornate base looks like it consists of several different metals and had some paint on parts of it at one time that has worn off over the years (looks amazing as is beautiful patina) aged beautifully LAMP works perfectly with a three way switch on the fixture I was not expecting to see the glass change so much when turned on to a gorgeous sunset or sunrise!! Has an openwork dogwood flower design with ornate dividers. Has two pull chain lights. In very good condition, has the one missing panel and has been repainted.
