2 WHITE CURVED TULIP. SLAG GLASS LAMP LIGHT SHADE. This listing is for the SHADE/S ONLY. Are to peak your imagination and/or display purpose. The ancillaries are not part of this listing. I have two of these but as is with all hand-made items they are not identical although they are very close. This glass in these shades is not solid white. It has pale grey/off white running vertically through it. The glass is in excellent condition – no chips cracks or signs of wear. The usual manufacturing imperfections associated with this type of glass are present. These can be used on lamps facing up or down as well as hanging light shades with the assistance of an electrician and/or a little modification by way of enlarging the hole in the disc at the fitter end to accommodate modern day fittings. The brass embellishments are all present. I had this shade restored prior to listing as two had fractured. These have been copper soldered and due to the ornate nature of the design of the embellishment are barely visible. Once the copper has aged it will be virtually impossible to detect. This shade was also given an aged copper finish at the time of restoration. The grey (lead) solder is original. One of the brass embellishments is missing. This was of no consequence to me as they were fitted to sconces in my bathroom and I simply put the missing strip to the wall. I have been told by a leadlighter that this embellishment is still available. I have also seen these shades without the embellishments and they present quite well so if you wanted to permanently remove or replace with a different design this is achievable. Awesome Antique Arts & Crafts Table Lamp Cream Beige Bent Slag Glass Shades
For consideration is this Beautiful Awesome Arts and Craft Antique Table Lamp featuring Cream or Beige Bent or Curved Convex Slag Glass Shade on Base with Pull Chain Switches on Sockets Base. Because of the way the shades are protected by the strip of metal (see photos), we believe this is a Bradley Hubbard shade but it is not signed. We deal in antique slag glass and have never seen this type of construction, other than Bradley Hubbard. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. This is another lamp we have married the base and shade. Any person familiar with antique slag glass understands that some times there are imperfections in the glass (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass (see photos). We found the base in a antique store in Natchez, Mississippi, years ago. Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. They measure approximately 16 inches in diameter for shade, 8 inches in diameter at base and 21 inches tall for lamps (to top of shades). This also applies to non lower 48, USA locations. The shade is done in a gorgeous late period art nouveau era to an early period art deco era floral motif, that glows a brilliant and warm yellow and red palette when the bulbs are lit. When turned off, the textured metal shows more muted yellow and purple tones. There are three arms with candlestick sockets for bulbs made in 3-way switch on/off, and the shade fits onto an up light that has its own bulb fixture and switch. The mesh shade sits on art deco era slag glass lamp shade which has long neck and goes into lamp base. This lamp is in very good vintage condition. The texture on the mesh shade is in great condition and there is no paint loss or spots of damage or inconsistency on the mesh, it is signed by Rembrandt. The base is in also very good condition with age-appropriate wear to the metal, just two issues — small dent on lamp base stick and missing one hook / please look at pictures/. The lamp measures approximately 62 inches tall from the floor and including mesh shade. The base is approximately 12 inches wide at bottom between paws. The shade measures 10,5 inches tall from bottom of panel to top and 19 inches in diameter at lower bottom of the mesh shade, slag glass shade has 11 inches at the widest point. The lamp base has also lighted bottom with decorated slag glass shade, also has switch to turn light on/off. Again, just simply – I do not have that kind of box.
