Gorgeous Handel Leaded glass lamp! Signed HANDEL on back side of base (see pics) Shade: there are a lot of “so called Handel shades” there were a mess of knock off Handel shades in the 1980′s and 90′s. The shade is solid and well made Handel style aperture ring. One way to tell the knock offs is the ring will NOT fit a Handel cap. This one fits perfectly. Leading looks aged inside and out. The eye of the flowers. Newer made shades, eyes in flowers are beads of glass. Old shades eyes are cut pieces of glass, as with this shade. Foot is 8 wide. Shade 18.5″ wide 8″ deep. Normal 3 5/8 Handel aperture. 3 Hubbell pull chain sockets all with acorn pull chains. Wired with a period style cloth cord & vintage plug. Bring a little SPRING into your home early! C 1905 Unique Art Glass co. What makes these lamps are the art glasses used in making them. You can find Periwinkle Unique Art lamps but the ones with the right glass explode with beauty when lit! LOOK at the top glass Tiffany used the same glass that’s on the top geometric part of this shade. I think I saw one hairline fracture in one of the green leaves that’s it and that’s from heat normal wear, better than normal it’s amazing! Shade is 16″ wide 9″ deep. Base is gorgeous as well with appropriate cap with attached finial. 3 Eagle sockets with satellite pull chains. Nice brown cloth cord & vintage style plug. Antique J Whaley leaded glass lamp Handel Tiffany Duffner arts crafts era slag
C 1910 J A Whaley leaded glass lamp. Here we have a super fine rare Whaley leaded lamp. There was a lot of work put into building this beauty! Much of the glass is bent and that’s not an easy task with this much detail! As always pictures do this no justice! In person the sparkly red highlights really light up! The shade I believe to be a very early Whaley. And it is in great shape! No looseness no separations. Maybe 1-2 hairlines I can’t find. The base all original Whaley base with wheel & cap with attached finial. Base is one of the best I’ve seen as far as patina even over all of base nice chocolate brown. Details: Wired with a black twisted cloth cord in line dimmer on / off switch. 3 Webber Fat Boy paddle sockets all working. Stands 24″ tall foot is 9″. Shade is 20″ at widest place and 8″ deep. Beautiful Tulip leaded glass Wilkinson Lamp c 1915. Lamp stands 25 tall. Foot is 8 wide. Shade 20″ x 9″. Aperture is the most used ring by Wilk. The locking pin style. Wired with cloth period style cord & plug. 3 Hubbell sockets w/acorn pull chains. Ready to use unpack and plug it in (with bulbs) works best. Somewhat rare Wilkinson lamp. They are out there but not in the numbers like yin/yang Poppy etc… Tight fine leading no fractures solid shade! Base is in excellent condition. A really fine lamp you should own! Duffner & Kimberly Hampshire Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great looking lamp whose shade was made by Duffner & Kimberly and whose base is Hampshire. I have seen combinations like this with many Hampshire bases and most look pretty good, but this one is just outstanding…… Its a perfect match! It has just a wonderful squatty Arts & Crafts look. I will let my pictures do the talking here since they can do a better job than I can about describing i. T, but will note that the shade is 19″ in diameter and the lamp stands 20″ tall. I see a single partial break in one of the non-flower containing pieces (as shown), but no others. The shade is beautiful, well made, and in great shape. The Hampshire base is what I believe to. Be a fairly rare form with two large handles on the ends. These handles are in excellent condition and have not had any repairs (as I would think others in this form may have due to their fragility). The combination works wonderfully and the base accompanies the shade just perfectly. I see no cracks or chips or in the base, but there is a bit of a lighter area line that is approximately 2 long on the right hand side which can be seen in several of my pictures. The base is signed as shown and even has an old paper label with the number 004 on it. It comes complete with matching BRYANT labeled sockets having their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. Has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice floral table lamp with a great Hampshire pottery lamp base. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. RARE Duffner & Kimberly Arts & Crafts Shell Form Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a rare and beautiful example of Duffner & Kimberly’s work. I believe it is referred to as the “shell” lamp or a “medallion” lamp, but whatever the name you can see by the sheer quality and attention to detail that this is one of Duffner’s great lamps. Just look at how great the workmanship is on the “shells”. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here but will note that the shade is 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 22 1/2″ tall. I see maybe 5 or 6 small cracks throughout the shade, but nothing serious. Adding to the greatness of this lamp is its solid bronze, fully signed (see stem picture), base with matching gold wash finish. The base is 100% original right down to the bottom plate. It has the nice long Hubbell sockets with their original interiors and acorn pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Lamps like from Duffner & Kimberly do not come up all that often and I can honestly say that you won’t find one in as nice or in as original condition as this one. Wilkinson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Floral Boarder Lamp Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very nice example of Wilkinson’s popular floral boarder lamps. Beautiful design with a repeating triad of multicolored flowers along the apron with a brickwork background on top. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here since from them you can see how nice this lamp looks. In terms of condition, I see a few tiny hairlines in the shade, but nothing serious. Its a 18 1/2″ diameter shade and the lamp stands 24″ tall. The shade rests on one of Wilkinson’s better 4-footed bases. The base has a wonderful dark greenish brown finish and is in very nice condition. The lamp has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Here’s a nice, original and complete Duffner & Kimberly lamp base. These are pretty hard base to find so if you need one here is your chance. Much rarer than any Tiffany lamp base. 21″ tall, 7 3/4″ diameter round at the bottom. Very nice, all original condition and compete with cap and finial. Beautiful dark greenish black finish.
