Pair of Antique 4 Panel Caramel Bent Slag Glass Cast Metal Boudoir Table Lamps. Presented for your consideration a Fabulous Pair of Early 20th Century Antique 4 Panel Caramel Bent Slag Glass Boudoir Table Lamps. The lamps are in extra fine original condition. No breaks, cracks or damage noted in the cast metal work or glass panels. The wiring is original with brittle places in the plastic along the electrical cord. Please Note For safety reasons, the wiring needs to be checked by a professional and replaced prior to use. The lamps feature a Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau/Art Deco period designs with a two piece construction. The lids have four panels of slag glass and a finial at the top, and rest on the bases. The matching bases also have four slag glass panels, a round turning switch knob near the bottom and a flared foot with period shell designs. The slag glass panels are light caramel in color and the metal work frames are toned with age in a darkened bronze color and a warm silver-tone finish. Pair of Highly Decorated Victorian age Slag Glass Lamp Bases. A pair of what appears highly decorative Victorian + lamp bases unsigned. The lamp on the left appears to be brass with original hasp and heat cap. The socket is working with a weather thumb turn socket, recently rewired and works. The lamp on the right is heavy and appears to be made out of metal. This lamp is highly decorated from the base all the way to the socket. The socket is a Yost thumb turn socket with original hasp, cap and finial. Both appear to be in good condition for their ages. Both lamps stand approx 22 to the finial. Pair Ornate Antique Carmel Slag Glass Boudoir Lamps 1920s
Offered, in this listing are an elegant pair of Art Nouveau Carmel slag glass boudoir lamps from the 1920s. These beautiful lamps are the real thing and each one features an original Cutler-Hammer brass/copper and porcelain light sockets manufactured in Miwaukee, Wisconsin It also has a round raised stamp on the bottom of each base but there is not enough detail remaining to make out the maker When obtained at a real estate sale in upstate they were in quite bad condition. The electrical cords were crumbling and decades of grime had accumulated. Both electrical cords have been replaced with cloth covered cords and vintage plugs from Vintage Wire & Supply CO. Each lamp has been taken apart and gently cleaned so as to preserve their aged appearance. The hexagonal metal shade is 7 inches tall, 4 inches wide at their top clanging outward to 7 inches wide at their base. Overall each lamp stands 16 inches tall and rests upon a 5 inch diameter base which is covered in green felt. Since both the shade and main body of each lamp is made from cast metal they are quite hefty weighing in at over 5 pounds each. They are in very nice condition with only one small piece of filigree missing on one of the 13 panels. Truly an exquisite set of lamps coming to you from a time nearly one century ago, to bring their warm light to your home.
