A extremely beautiful antique all original bronze stylized dolphins overlay on slag glass lamp shade probably made by Tiffany studios or Riviere studios in excellent condition. This shade is a master work certainly made by one of the finest makers. The incredible slag glass that was used in this shade is outstanding full of fire and color with a brilliance rarely seen in other shades the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. The extremely detailed real bronze metal overlay with it’s incredible original dark patina with some slight greening is in perfect condition. The original bronze patina on the leading work is in perfect undisturbed condition. I’ve had for a while now and never saw the crack until I had it outside in the direct sun light for photo’s it’s almost invisible. A very large incredible antique all original very rare mission arts and crafts Suess ornamental Frank Lloyd Wright style slag glass chandelier in excellent condition. This is the most beautiful shade on e-bay and certainly one of the rarest and most beautiful that’s ever been on e-bay for that matter. Suess hanging shades are extremely rare. This shade pre dates Frank Lloyd Wright so a shade like this could have influenced him perhaps. The original patina is in excellent untouched condition. This shade is extremely dirty it was sitting in a basement for more than fifty years and could use a very good cleaning that would only enhance the beauty of the original incredible slag glass in this shade. They used the most beautiful slag you will ever see anywhere it is full of color and fire the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. There is only one very tiny crack barely a half of a inch long in a small lower border piece of glass not worthy of a photo that will go completely unnoticed. The story was this used to hang in a very old saloon with four others in Chicago not far from where it was made. The original real thick porcelain copper and brass Benjamin four socket cluster is in perfect working order. The shade is 26″ at its widest point by 16″ tall. A outstanding all original antique desk lamp in excellent condition. This lamp is extremely heavy for it’s size. The caramel slag that was used in this shade is very fine quality full of color and fire the photo’s don’t due it justice. There has been a repair made a long time ago on the base. The adjusting bracket was brazed back onto the base at one point it’s a very sound repair and will go completely unnoticed shown in the last photo. The original very dark patina is in excellent condition. The casting on the base and stem is very fine. The original pull chain socket switch is in perfect working order. Mission Oak Lamp With Slag Glass Shade
Here is a period Mission Style lamp, c 1915 – 1920. Working condition, no damage at all to the shade or the wood base. Primary wood appears to be oak. Shade has metal frame-work with caramel colored slag glass. The wire appears to have been changed in the 60s or 70s. Lamp is in working condition. The lamp does have one tiny ouchie that doesn’t seem to effect the integrity or structural support. See photos, photo # 8; there’s a small chip of wood missing on one of the shade’s supporting “arms”, and, at the very top of the shade, the metal framework has separated a very small amount, its visible in the photos. The metal separation does not effect the structural integrity and likely can just be put back in place. Otherwise, I don’t see any other problems. To turn it on or off, there is a pull chain. Please look all the photos over carefully. This would go well with almost any décor. These are getting pretty hard to find esp in this condition. No international sales, domestic sales only.
