Bradley & Hubbard Arts & Crafts Leaded Glass / Slag Lamp Duffner Handel Era
Hello and thank you for looking. For your consideration is a lovely, original, signed Bradley and Hubbard leaded glass lamp. This lamp displays very nicely, lights up beautifully, and is a great example of the Arts and Crafts styling that B&H is so well known for. The base is original to the shade, and is signed with the typical B&H triangle stamp. The shade measures just over 17 in diameter, and features beautiful streaky greens, with accents of pink and yellow along the lower rim. The lamp stand just shy of 24. Overall the lamp is in very good original condition. There are a few scattered heat cracks, but nothing serious. The shade has a nice antique rattle/buzz when tapped along the lower rim. The base is in wonderful condition with virtually no loss to the original patina. It features the original Hubbell outer sockets (inner components have been replaced for safety), along with the original acorn pulls. Pls note that one of the original pulls has lost the acorn at the terminal end. There is a very minor bend on the shade rest. I make note of this just for thoroughness, as the shade sits perfectly straight on the base, and of course the shade rest cannot be seen with shade atop it. The lamp is finished off with the original heat cap and finial. Thank you and best of luck. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. That’s huge overall savings folks. I have for sale this excellent and properly signed, supersized Bradley and Hubbard lamp. This is a very nice looking and cool designed lamp that is VERY VERY seldom seen. I promise you, your neighbors dont have one. This lamp is big and heavy and measuring in at 27 inches tall with the shade being 22 inches wide. The base with no breaks or cracks or losses and in fine working order. The base in excellent original patina throughout and without losses. The original Bryant four socket cluster excellent with its original satellite pulls as well. All pulls work nicely and again the patina excellent and matching the base as it should. The base signed underneath the base plate with its B and H logo. The overlay shade also in very good overall condition and without damage of any sort. The coloration in the glass fantastic and better than i can project in the photos. Also i used only 7 watt bulbs for the photos, so when you put in four 25 watt soft whites, the color will jump out like no tomorrow. As for the filligree/overlay Im not seeing any losses there as Bradley and Hubbard always have strong metal for their overlays. All the glass holding tabs present and accounted for and the glass without losses or breaks. One jagged edge on one piece that means nothing but i mention it for accuracy purposes. Its also in very good condition for its age as well. This was a well taken care of lamp for the past 100+ years thats for sure. Please Check out my other items! As far as table lamps go, this is a large lamp and comes with the original, 4 socket cluster assembly with 4 brass light sockets with pull chain on and off switches that all work smoothly. This lamp has a remarkable shape/form compared to the more tradition cone shaped lamps B & H typically produced during this period and its the first time we have seen a lamp with all cream slag glass. The shade has 8 bent panels as well as 8 straight side panels and the shade is in overall impeccable condition. Several of the metal rails that hold the slag glass in place are marked with the patent date often seen on B&H lamps but is not signed Bradley & Hubbard, although we strongly believe that the shade is original to this lamp and is Bradley & Hubbard. The lamp has a definite geometric theme to it and is hexagonal in shape from the base and centre column to the traditional B & H finial on top as well as in between, including the end points of the glass panes. The base of the lamp is signed B & H and the mast is simply marked Pat App For. As best as we can tell, this lamp is all original and complete, but the light sockets are recently rewired. We note that some of filigree in the side scenery panels is broken or missing some small pieces. The lamps base and center column are made of non ferrous metal (magnet doesnt stick) that has a dark brown patina to it. There is a rotary switch on the base that is likely not original that can be used to control all 4 light sockets, or you can control the individual bulbs by using the on-off pull chain on each light socket. This is a large table lamp and stands almost 25 inches tall, as measured from the base to the top of the finial. The base is 8 inches wide and has the original metal bottom covering plate. The shade is 8.5 inches tall and almost 19 inches wide and the lamp as shown weights 19 Lbs. Please get in touch if you have any questions or if you would like additional pictures sent to you. Bradley & Hubbard B&H Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Sadly, most are actually mis-attributed to this maker. This one, however, is 100% genuine Bradley & Hubbard, through and through. It is a wonderful example of their arts & crafts work with simple lines and deep colors. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the shade is in excellent all around condition without a single break in the glass and all of the filigree is completely in tact. This lamp was well cared for over its life! The shade is 18″ in diameter and the lamp, as it stands now, is 24″ tall (there is an adjustment screw on the main shaft that allows you to change this height if you desire). The base is in wonderful original condition and the texture of the finish almost makes it feel like leather. If has what appear to be its original Weber labeled sockets with their old interiors and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug. If you have ever wanted a genuine Bradley & Hubbard leaded glass lamp and not one that someone just called a Bradley & Hubbard since they could not attribute it to anything else, this may be the one for you. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. That’s an unbelievable savings as well. The glass in this shade is pretty nice as you can see in the photos and i only used two 7 watt bulbs for the photos and look how vibrant the colors are. This is a full sized lamp in that its measuring 21 inches tall and the shade being 18 inches wide. The base is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard underneath the base plate and its in very nice original chocolate brown patina with all three period sockets matching one another and in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the very heavy and well made base. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. Nice quality glass and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. A stray tight age crack here or there, but certainly nothing to be alarmed about as they are very tight and not going anywhere for another 100 years. I see maybe 3-4 thats all. All the leading tight and right and a very nice geometric arts and crafts pattern in the top part of the shade with a stylized flowers and green leaves in the lower part of the shade 360 degrees around the border. All in all a very nice arts and crafts style lamp, by one of the best makers there ever was and in very nice overall condition. You cant beat that. The shade in very good condition as well, with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. The glass in mottled or spotted form and is superb when lit.
