Vintage Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Cherub Base Squirrel Shade
This vintage table lamp is a unique addition to any room. The green slag glass and antique brass finish give it a rustic charm. The lamp features a cherub base and a shaded design with a bell-shaped shade. It is corded electric and has a switch for easy control. SLAG GLASS RETICULATED PUTTI SQUIRREL LAMP SHADE Art Nouveau RARE
This six panel lamp shade has six white and purple slag glass panes held in place by metal tabs and a squirrel motif metal frame. The panes transform into a soft amber glow when light is put behind them. One of the tabs is bent and is not supporting the glass and I have not bent this back so as not to stress or weaken the metal prong. I don’t know what type of metal it is but my guess is lead. This is a very heavy piece. It appears to have once had a decoration in at least one place that has been broken off. Please see close-up photo of this particular section. It is approximately 11″ across at the base and 3 1/2″ across at the top. The metal is fragile and prone to bending. The glass is in pristine shape, no chips/cracks. I do not know the origin of this piece. Guaranteed to be well-packed to arrive in the condition pictured.
