CAST-IRON AND SLAG GLASS HANGING FOYER/HALL LAMP, green and amber panes, square bell form with a mission-style design, cast-iron motor cover with spring-loaded motor, matching smoke bell, matching bottom cap. Fitted with a colorless glass font with a No. 1 “EAGLE” slip burner. Attrib to Bradley Hubbard. I have never hung this so I cannot guarantee any mechanism. LARGE RARE LIGHTOLIER ATOMIC MODERN SPUTNIK SPACE AGE SLAG GLASS BRASS ARCHITECTURAL WALL LAMP 1950′s SUBLIME! DESIGN: An impressive and visually stunning large atomic Modern sculptural “Sputnik” slag Glass & Brass wall lamp designed by Gerald Thurston and manufactured by Lightolier lighting circa 1950′s. This rarely seen substantial form is highly remminescent of the Atomic Modern period with its satellite-like bowtie shape shade with eminating gold radiating line pattern. The sculptural body is comprised of one large, thick slag molded glass form which is suspended almost invisibly by small Brass vise-like brackets at its pinched waist. Original early green Lightolier label still fully intact on back of mounting bracket (see last pic). Due to the very delicate nature of the molded glass design this style rarely survived the test of time and trends, added the incredible sublime condition of this specimen and your likely to never see one like this again! CONDITION : This rare & unique Thurston Lightolier design lamp is in exceptional original condition as it did not spend much time installed/used and has been packaged away for probably half of a century – all completely intact and fully functional ready to install! No apparent signs of use damage or blemishes aside from light patina to the Brass mounting bracket which could be polished to perfection if desired. Original wiring and dual socket has been inspected and tested and appears to be clean, safe and fully operational. DIMENSIONS: This substantial lamps general dimensions are 18″ long with a general width/depth of 6″, the base mount has a diameter of 5. Bulbs are NOT included.

Best Stained Glass Lamp Green Slag. Has been rewired, but even that may be old. Shade has black metal with cherubs, base is a gold tone brass look. Base has a few chips where silver tone base shows, pictured. Shade may have been soldered, I’m not entirely sure, it may be original. I can’t find any cracks or damage to Shade. There is a bit of wobble where Shade and base meet. Shade 18.5 in diameter. Approx 27 in total height.
