Leaves and berries twine around this antique art deco lamp base. It’s large 22″ high to the top of the finial, with an 8″ base substantial enough for a significant slag, stained, or reverse painted glass shade. Unsigned, but the casting is of Royal, B & H, or Pairpoint quality. The old gold paint has mellowed to a lovely patina. A magnet DOES stick to it. There’s some oxidation (see pictures), but appears to be mostly surface. It has the heat cap, which is great, and the old cloth wiring. The fitter will accept a shade with a 3.25″ 4″ opening. This lamp base is a lovely antique. It needs to be re-wired, and there is some oxidation. Please look at the pictures, and ask for more. Right now, we’re also helping to downsize our parents (in their 90s). Sell things as we find them; we do not attempt to make repairs. However, right now, we rub everything with hand sanitizer before it goes out the door. We don’t ruin the patina, though. We try to describe items as accurately as possible.
