Antique Whaley Leaded Slag Stained Glass Prairie Table Lamp Handel Duffner Era

While I hesitate to assign a maker there, I do believe this to be a J A Whaley prairie style leaded glass table lamp. It is a very cool and very well made lamp with a very nice geometric design in a flat prairie style or pagoda looking form. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. The shade is composed of deep caramel white pieces mixed with dark green ones to give off just the right amount of contrast. The glass is just beautiful and the design is totally arts & crafts. In terms of size, this is a standard sized table lamp with a 16 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 20 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see one or two small cracks, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces. The lobed form base is why I believe this to be a Whaley lamp, but neither it nor the shade is signed so the true maker may never be known. What it is is a 100% old and authentic lamp, from the early 1900′s, in fine original condition. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. J A Whaley is not as well known as Duffner or Handel, but they made some awesome lamps and this is one of them! If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. Gorgeous Whaley School leaded glass lamp! Vintage shade 19″ x 8″ deep. Lamp stands 23″ tall 8″ foot. Brown cloth vintage style cord and plug. 3 old sockets with tassel ends all working fine. Antique Early Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Duffner Tiffany Era

While I hesitate to assign a maker there, I do believe this to be a very early came leaded shade from the either Chicago Mosaic or JA Whaley. It is a very cool and very well made lamp with deep blue iris flowers against a caramel background. Came leaded lamps were much earlier than their standard foiled counterparts. They are heavier and in many cases much higher quality. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. The glass is just beautiful and the design is totally floral. In terms of size, this is a standard sized table lamp with a 18″ diameter shade that stands 23″ tall. In terms of condition, I see one or two small cracks, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces. The 4-footed base is not signed but does have nice old hardware (including two Hubbell branded sockets with their original porcelain interiors and satellite ended pull chains). This is a great example of an early came leaded lamp in wonderful condition with a beautiful pattern and great glass. Wilkinson you can see the “copy” close to a Duffner style shade. Lots Of great translucent brickwork blended with 4 floral splashes each side of shade. Wonderful art glass and a super rare shade. I believe it’s early they seemed to use the best glass and better leaders early in the forming years of the Wilkinson Lamp Co. Stands 25″ tall 8″ wide foot. Shade 16 x 7. Overall in superior Antique Condition. Aperture ring is the normal notched to fit on pegs in the original cap on this base cap is not a recast. Is a real Wilkinson set cap & finial. 3 Hubbell Acorn pull chain sockets working fine. Wired safe ready to use with brown vintage cloth cord & vintage style plug. Mission art craft stained slag glass lamp handel tiffany duffner kimberly
A large incredible antique original very rare Riviere mission arts & crafts bronze overlay slag glass table lamp in excellent condition. This is one of the most beautiful lamps on e-bay. This lamp is truly a very finely hand crafted work of art from a master craftsman. You rarely see this amount of detail in any lamp. Paul Riviere was one of the finest lamp makers in his time. His studio produced some of the finest lamps available. Equal to or even surpassing Tiffany studios in quality. This is a lily pad pattern depicting a lily pond. The original patina is in excellent untouched condition with no damage to it anywhere. This lamp is a little dirty and could use a little cleaning that would only enhance the beauty of the original incredible slag glass in this shade. I have left it as found for the new owner to determine how and what to clean. They used the some of the most beautiful slag you will ever see anywhere it is full of color and fire the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. There are three small cracks in the very beautiful slag glass panels shown in the last photo. They are tight cracks that are almost completely covered by the very fine bronze overlay meal work and will go completely unnoticed. There are no damages or repairs to this lamp. When I found the shade it was with out its base. The base is mostly constructed from solid bronze or brass. I have listed this lamp twice so I could post more photos of it. Very Fine Signed HANDEL leaded glass Lamp c 1910. Stands 26 top of finial. Shade is 18 x 7. Solid shade for over 100 years old one line frac pictured. Great glass used making this shade. Leading is tight and firm excellent. The blend of granite back and smooth is a great feature along with the skirt and the yellow glass blended in. Base is no signed but 99.9 percent of people know who made his base HANDEL. 3 Hubbell sockets (insides changed to newer for safety) retains the acorn pull chains.
