1920s ART DECO 2-LIGHT TABLE LAMP W/ SLAG GLASS SHADE This 1920s Art Deco table lamp is made of heavy cast metal (hexagonal base, stem body, hexagonal shade frame, shade cap & finial), & brass (rolled tube & socket holders) with a cast iron loader. The lamp was made by Edward Miller Co (EM & Co in raised letters on inside surface of loader). It has been restored in bronze & brass. The slag glass panels are cream with swirls of caramel. They are original & are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. This classic Art Deco slag glass lamp stands 23 1/2 tall & has a 17 wide shade. The cast iron lamp base is 8 1/2 in diameter. Original pull chain light sockets are rewired with brown cloth covered cord & a repro bakelite polarized plug. It weighs 12 3/4 lbs. Light bulbs not included. 1920s ART NOUVEAU PIANO LAMP With SLAG GLASS SHADE
This 1920s Art Nouveau desk lamp is made of very heavy cast metal (lamp base & shade frame) with a brass’corduroy’ tubular arm and cast brass adjusting knuckles at each end of the arm. The two slag glass panels for the shade are white with pale honey streaks. The slag glass is new and in excellent condition. The lamp has been restored in bronze & natural brass. Brass was cleaned, hand polished & lightly sprayed with a brass protector. As shown, the lamp stands 14 1/2 tall, 9 at the widest and extends 12.. The oval base is 8 by 5 1/2. Original pull chain socket is rewired with a new repro wall plug and gold cloth covered cord. It weighs 7 1/8 lbs. Light bulb not included. 1920′s Grant’s Tomb & Statue of Liberty New York Curved Slag Glass Hanging Lamp
1920′s Grant’s Tomb and Statue of Liberty New York City Curved Slag Glass Hanging Lamp! It measures 22″ by 13″ tall. While there are very minor issues, it is in very nice condition considering the age and size of this fragile lamp. Two of the lower green glass pieces are loose and I removed them for safekeeping. There is some bending of the lower fringe which could probably be straightened out (by you). One of the small pieces of round shaped top glasses is cracked (photo of it in the photos). 1920′s Blue, Purple, Green Slag Glass Lamp Shade Art Deco Nouveau 6 Panel
Lovely antique 1920′s 6 Panel Slag Glass lamp shade with metal overlay. I’ve handled many of these over the years and I believe the metal overlay to retain it’s original patina and paint. The glass appears to have never been taken out of it’s frame for cleaning and the tabs that hold the glass in place are tight and secure. As well, the glass fits well into the frame and is held in place very. The metal is strong with no splits or broken parts of the fancy. The metal is “NOT” the soft bendable type of pot metal and the shade is NOT “out of shape”. In other words, you won’t be. Because the shade is firm, sound, and nothing is bent out of angle. The glass is a stunning lovely creamy mix of purple, blue, spots of green , cream and caramel. The glass has NO damage at all. Nothing broken, chipped or cracked. I will point out that a few of the. Have what is called “cooling marks” or stretch marks. When this type of thick glass was being bent during manufacture, sometimes little “cooling marks” could appear as the glass was cooling. You will sometimes hear folks call this “straw marks”. These are not cracks or damage and they are a part of the manufacturing process. Look closely at the photos and you will see a few of these faint lines here and there. They do not distract from the beauty of this shade or affect it’s. I do my best to describe everything in as much detail as I can. The metal circle at the top (the part that is placed down over a base) is strong and firm. The shade is unsigned. I’m hoping that someone has the perfect base and this awesome shade will be of use. Size: approx 15.3/4 at the widest distance between point to point on the bottom. 13.3/4 across the bottom from flat side to flat side. It stands 7 inches tall from bottom to top and the diameter of the circle at the top is 3.3/8.
