A large incredible antique original very rare Riviere mission arts & crafts bronze overlay slag glass table lamp in excellent condition. This is one of the most beautiful lamps on e-bay. This lamp is truly a very finely hand crafted work of art from a master craftsman. You rarely see this amount of detail in any lamp. Paul Riviere was one of the finest lamp makers in his time. His studio produced some of the finest lamps available. Equal to or even surpassing Tiffany studios in quality. This is a lily pad pattern depicting a lily pond. The original patina is in excellent untouched condition with no damage to it anywhere. This lamp is a little dirty and could use a little cleaning that would only enhance the beauty of the original incredible slag glass in this shade. I have left it as found for the new owner to determine how and what to clean. They used the some of the most beautiful slag you will ever see anywhere it is full of color and fire the photo’s truly don’t do it any justice at all. There are three small cracks in the very beautiful slag glass panels shown in the last photo. They are tight cracks that are almost completely covered by the very fine bronze overlay meal work and will go completely unnoticed. There are no damages or repairs to this lamp. When I found the shade it was with out its base. The base is mostly constructed from solid bronze or brass. I have listed this lamp twice so I could post more photos of it. Its in excellent original condition and it measures 15 inches tall by 26 inches wide. It has a great 6 socket cluster as you can see from the photos and its in fine working order. The leading all tight and right and i see no repairs. Its got a couple of tight age/heat stress’s in the glass which is appropriate for its age. Great patina on the hardware as well. This is a great lamp folks and very very seldom seen and then you add in the savings of not having to pay a large buyers premium on top and it makes it a must have lol. Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great looking arts & crafts lamp made by Duffner & Kimberly. I love the look of this lamp….. With the very flat. Style shade on a simple but very stylish solid bronze base. I will let my pictures do the talking here since they can do a better job than I can about describing i. T, but will note that the shade is 20″ in diameter and the lamp stands 24″ tall. In terms of condition I don’t see a single hariline in the shade…… This one was very well cared for in its over 100 year lifetime! The shade is beautiful, well made, and in great shape. The solid bronze base is a rather rare form that I have not seen many of before. The finish is just outstanding….. Even better than the ones Tiffany did. The base has all of its original hardware including matching sockets (with their original interiors and acorn ended pull chains, cap and final). Has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is an extremely nice version of a popular Duffner &. Lamp that is in. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Duffner & Kimberly Hampshire Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great looking lamp whose shade was made by Duffner & Kimberly and whose base is Hampshire. I have seen combinations like this with many Hampshire bases and most look pretty good, but this one is just outstanding…… Its a perfect match! It has just a wonderful squatty Arts & Crafts look. I will let my pictures do the talking here since they can do a better job than I can about describing i. T, but will note that the shade is 19″ in diameter and the lamp stands 20″ tall. I see a single partial break in one of the non-flower containing pieces (as shown), but no others. The shade is beautiful, well made, and in great shape. The Hampshire base is what I believe to. Be a fairly rare form with two large handles on the ends. These handles are in excellent condition and have not had any repairs (as I would think others in this form may have due to their fragility). The combination works wonderfully and the base accompanies the shade just perfectly. I see no cracks or chips or in the base, but there is a bit of a lighter area line that is approximately 2 long on the right hand side which can be seen in several of my pictures. The base is signed as shown and even has an old paper label with the number 004 on it. It comes complete with matching BRYANT labeled sockets having their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. Has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice floral table lamp with a great Hampshire pottery lamp base. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. RARE Duffner & Kimberly Arts & Crafts Shell Form Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a rare and beautiful example of Duffner & Kimberly’s work. I believe it is referred to as the “shell” lamp or a “medallion” lamp, but whatever the name you can see by the sheer quality and attention to detail that this is one of Duffner’s great lamps. Just look at how great the workmanship is on the “shells”. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here but will note that the shade is 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 22 1/2″ tall. I see maybe 5 or 6 small cracks throughout the shade, but nothing serious. Adding to the greatness of this lamp is its solid bronze, fully signed (see stem picture), base with matching gold wash finish. The base is 100% original right down to the bottom plate. It has the nice long Hubbell sockets with their original interiors and acorn pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Lamps like from Duffner & Kimberly do not come up all that often and I can honestly say that you won’t find one in as nice or in as original condition as this one. Here’s a nice, original and complete Duffner & Kimberly lamp base. These are pretty hard base to find so if you need one here is your chance. Much rarer than any Tiffany lamp base. 21″ tall, 7 3/4″ diameter round at the bottom. Very nice, all original condition and compete with cap and finial. Beautiful dark greenish black finish.
