Vintage Arts & Crafts Mission Style Slag Glass Hanging Lamp Light Fixture 15. Unusual vintage decorative light fixture featuring an Arts & Crafts / Mission-style design with richly mottled slag-style glass panels in shades of amber, caramel, cream, brown and gray. The fixture has a substantial geometric frame with a textured, mottled brown finish and multiple individual glass panels arranged around the square lower lantern and upper housing. The combination of the warm slag-style glass and architectural geometric construction gives the piece a striking Arts & Crafts, Mission Revival and Mid-Century decorative appearance. The interior retains its electrical socket, wiring and mounting components. This fixture has previously been used undercover outdoors and shows age-appropriate wear, including surface oxidation/rust to metal components, finish wear, discoloration and general signs of weather exposure. The white-painted mounting surface also shows wear and paint loss. The frame is a painted wood with faux graining and I think its probably 20-30 years old. Because of its age and previous outdoor use, the fixture should be inspected and, if necessary, rewired by a qualified person prior to installation. No maker’s mark has been identified.
