Antique PLB 8 Panel 20 Steel Lamp Base with 15 Slag Glass Shade withOrnate Brass

Available is a beautiful antique Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company PLB & Co. 20 1/2 inch bronze painted steel lamp base with a matching eight panel 15 diameter creamy brown slag glass shade. It has a single pull chain socket and features an ornate brass plants / leaves filigree overlay finish. As mentioned the lamp has a 15″ diameter slag glass shade (8″ high) featuring ornate brass or bronze filigree pattern, mounted on a 20 1/2 inch painted bronze steel base with a single pull-chain socket. The markings on the base read “PLB & CO” along with the number “2055″. The shade is not marked with PLB that I can find but they were obtained together from a family estate and are an obvious match in color, style, fit and finish which was common of PLB styles of the era. The lamp base weighs 4 lbs 6 oz. And the lamp shade weights 7 lbs. For a combined weight of 11 lbs. The lamp base and shade are clean and in very good condition. The shade is slightly tilted to one side (the harp needs to be straightened). One panel has a missing section of the brass filigree and another panel has one small piece of filigree broken. There is a gap at the top of one panel where light might shine through. There is no broken or significantly cracked glass. There are some minor paint chips and green oxidation. The cord was previously upgraded with a green color plastic cord. The single pull chain single lamp socket appears to be the original.
