Very well made – nice and sturdy. Best, Chicago, Illinois, USA. An excellent choice for your slag glass / stained glass shade, as this lamp weighs just over 6 pounds. Working and looking lovely! Some cracks around the sockets but none noted in the lamp. Normal patina and age wear to the finish here and there, but nothing that takes away from the beauty of this piece. The pull chain sockets are working well but t he pull chain is stuck in the on position and will need to be replaced if you want to use it to turn the piece on and off. The finial shown was found on and included with the lamp. The plug and power cord look to me to be in good condition, and seem to be a later rewiring. This lamp uses two standard base bulbs, and with vintage lighting we suggest using up to 40-60 watt bulbs or use LED bulbs that produce the same brightness with less wattage. Light bulbs shown are 75w and are not included! THIS LAMP STANDS JUST OVER 22 TALL. Harry Arthur Best was an inventor and entrepreneur who founded H. Best Lamp Co in Chicago.
