Antique Victorian Art Nouveau 6 Panel Slag Glass Lamp Shade

This is an authentic piece from the Era of 1920′s-30′s American Manufacture. This lamp shade is shown as it was restored to the original condition professionally. One of the panels of glass was broken in half and fortunately it was’easily’ glued with cyanoacrylate. (Super Glue) and is barely visible even with the lampshade lit. The body of the shade is spelter which is an alloy of tin and lead it was damaged in one minor location (approximately 1 or 25.4cm) and was repaired with an acrylic’bondo’ type of automotive putty and was carefully retouched with oil base paint. It is not shown as I can not find it easily. It is shown on a base which is not included or available. The panels were color matched from the original and fully repainted with an acrylic base flat paint on the inside as original. You will note from the lighted photos that there are unique differences in the value of light and dark areas due to the difference in the amount of paint applied to cover the’bare’ spots. It does create a unique ambience that some may not find attractive yet for others it is a joy to see the change’of season’ with the light and dark backgrounds. It also shows the inclusion of blue (which was present in the original) as light and dark also. We value our customers and believe that the integrity of our offers stands as our feedback.
