Empire Slag Glass Panel Lamp with Floral Filigree
Here is a nice old Empire slag glass lamp with amber and white glass panels. I have included a scan of a page from an Empire catalog showing this lamp–only the finial is different. The lamp has its original antique brass finish–I think that on the shade is better than that on the base. There is one of the eight sections of the shade where the inside edges are uneven or rough–I have shown this in a close-up photo. The base has its original sockets with “saturn” pulls. Please note that one of the pull chains has been joined with a coupler right near the socket. The base has been rewired with period correct cloth covered cord.
