C1910 Caramel Slag Glass Shade & Metal Overlay Table Lamp with Dolphin Base. This listing is for a circa 1910 handsome slag glass metal overlay table lamp. The lamp measures 25 inches or 63.5 cm high to the top of the finial and, the shade is 16 inches or 40.5 cm in diameter. The shade consists of 6 panels. Each panel consists of a caramel color glass which is slightly curved. All the glass is held in place by clips on the inside. The outside of the shade has a beautiful metal overlay. The overlay is ornate and beautiful with its open work scrolling line design. The standard features two entwined dolphins that are mounted on a scrolling square base with shells on the corners; it has a dark gold patina or color which is all original to the piece. The lamp has two pull chain sockets, both working. The base is marked H. Best Lamp Co Chicago, IL. The lamp is in very good condition. It has new sockets and wiring.
