Metal frame is painted a dark brown and the regular crazing shows a cream paint underneath. The motif is very Beaux Arts with a cornucopia of flowers to each side of each panel and a garland of ribbon in between. The glass panels are original and in excellent condition- this is a stunning shade either lit or unlit. LIGHT UP SLAG GLASS LAMP BASE FOR SHADE With ORIENTAL MOTIF
This listing is for a Light-Up Slag Glass Lamp Base with Oriental Motif. Cold painted black, with slag glass panels on each side, overlayed with two walking oriental figures and a running dog. Base has raised leaves and florals around the base and panels. Measures 23-1/4″ tall 7-7/8″ diameter base, tapered. The oriental figures are broke off and missing on one side, it is missing the lid enclosure for the bottom and will need re-wired. Otherwise would make a wonderful lamp base with the right shade.
