Antique Victorian Era Lamp 24 Panel Slag Glass Two Socket Electric Light. This lamp will be carefully packed and insured. The shade will be packed separate from the base in a floating box. Condition: This beautiful victorian lamp is in great condition with one repaired panel, no chips or other cracks. There are a few split molded pieces of fine detail metal work over the lamp shade glass panels. The base has no dents or damage. The silver plating to the lamp body has wear and there is some light surface scratching consistent with age and use. The original cold painted detail has worn off in most places but remnants remain in the deep crevices. Dimensions: Lamp stands 26 inches tall, 19 inches wide across shade, 8 inches wide across bottom, body of lamp measures 6.5 inches wide by 11 inches tall. This stunning highly decorated victorian electric lamp is complete with its original finial, shade and matching base. The lamp has a tripod paw foot base decorated with a center shell out stretching ribbons and acanthus leaves draped over each leg. The body of the lamp is silver plated with a decoration of two winged mermaids holding up an overflowing basket in a ribbon cabochon. There are two mirrored cornucopia with mirrored burning candle sconces in each corner. This is repeated around the entire first tier of panels. Above the mermaid panels is a burning victory torch with a ribbon motif. The top row of panels is blown out to give a puffy look. Ribbon decoration adorns the top of the panel with ribboned wreathes in each corner. The finial is in the form of a tassel with a ribbon tied hanging but upside down. This very ornate and intricate lamp is not signed in any obvious place but could have a signature somewhere.
