Up for your consideration is a fine antique slag glass lamp, American, c. I do not know the maker, but the lamp is well-constructed and high quality. However, the gilded spelter base shows a crack near the lightbulb, and just below. It looks like downward pressure was applied to the top of the stem, causing the now stable cracks. Unfortunately, the lamp does not stand up perfectly vertically, but it may be able to be bent back (see the last few photos). It has been professionally rewired, and works perfectly. The shade has some dirtiness to the exterior, dark pin-tip spots within the recesses of the glass, as is common. The primary color of the shade is caramel. All glass is original, and free of chips, cracks, or damage. The piece measures 26″ tall, and the shade is 20″ in diameter. Overall, it weighs just under 17 lbs, so it is quite heavy, and well made.
