Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Empire Miller Bradley & Hubbard Styles
This is a great large Bent Slag Glass lamp probably by Empire Lamp Co from Chicago although it is not marked. It is similar to their other shade styles. The lamp stands 22 inches tall to the top of the finial on its beautifully sculpted 7 1/2 base. The base has a great deep patinated finish with green verdigris highlights which is about all complete. The full 8 panel Bent Slag glass shade is 20 1/2 inches in diameter and 7 3/4 inches tall. The well executed overlay is complete with a patinated gold/brass finish covering the molted tan bent slag glass. All the glass is intact with no chips or cracks and all the securing tabs are there. The lamp is unmarked except for “840″ on the underside of the base. The lamp has been correctly rewired and works perfectly. Just a wonderful large lamp for your home or office.
