THIS IS A STUNNING LARGE (ALMOST 2 FEET TALL) AUTHENTIC BRADLEY & HUBBARD 8 PANEL SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP. THE LAMP IS CIRCA. 1910′S AND IT IS IN TERRIFIC CONDITION!! BOTH THE SHADE AND BASE ARE SIGNED AND IN MATCHING GOLD & GREEN PAINT. THE 8 CARAMEL COLORED GLASS PIECES SIT TIGHT IN THE MAPLE LEAF FRAME. THE MAPLE LEAF DESIGN IS A RARE PATTERN AND IT TURNS INTO A SILHOUETTE WHEN THE LAMP IS LIT. THERE IS WEAR TO THE GREEN AND GOLD PAINT, AND SOME OF THE GOLD LOOKS TOUCHED UP…… A LONG TIME AGO. ONE OF THE SLAG GLASS PANELS HAS A PROFESSIONAL REPAIRED CRACK THAT CAN ONLY BE SEEN FROM THE BACKSIDE. (11TH PHOTO, TOP RIGHT CORNER) THE GLASS IS AS STRONG AS IT EVER WAS. THE BRASS ON THE INSIDE OF EVERY SLAG PANEL IS SIGNED “BRADLEY & HUBBARD”. THE BASE IS ALSO IN THE ART NOUVEAU STYLE AND IT IS CLEARLY AND ACCURATELY SIGNED “BRADLEY & HUBBARD” ON THE SOCKET. THE BASE IS VERY HEAVY AND IT IS IN AN OLD GREEN AND GOLD PAINT. EVEN THE SOCKETS HAVE A DEEP GREEN PAINT. THERE IS LIGHT WEAR TO THE PAINT. ALL OF THE ELECTRIC IS IN TIP-TOP CONDITION. THE LAMP WAS PROFESSIONALLY REWIRED BUT IT RETAINS THE ORIGINAL SOCKETS AND CHAINS. THE LONG CORD AND PLUG ARE NEW. THE LAMP MEASURES 21 3/4 TALL!! THE 8 PANEL SHADE IS APPROX. Antique Arts & Crafts BRADELY & HUBBARD Brass 8-Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp NR. Both the shade and the base of this antique, early 20th century, Slag Glass Lamp are marked by the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company. Overall, this lamp measures 23 1/2″ tall, and the 8-panel Slag Glass Shade measures 10 1/2″ tall by 16 1/4 wide. The caramel slag glass is original to this shade and all 8 panels are perfect with no restorations. The brass frame has an Arts & Crafts design and both the shade and the base retain the original surface. The base is weighted with iron and although it has some light surface wear, there are no other problems or restorations. The wiring looks to have been replaced during the mid 20th century and although this lamp works, we always recommend having vintage lighting checked out before using it in your home.
