Handel Arts Crafts Mission Reverse Painted Slag Glass Bradley Hubbard Era Lamp. I have for sale this incredible and properly signed Handel supersized lamp. This is a very seldom seem geometric designed Handel leaded folks and please note that I have 3 bulbs lighting this shade up, and all 3 are only 7 watt bulbs. The base measures 27.5 inches tall and the shade is 24 inches wide, so this is a supersized lamp folks. Please notice the picture where i have this handel sized up against an average/normal size lamp to get perspective of this enormity of this great lamp. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has its original hubbell three socket cluster with acorn pulls all in fine working order and it’s been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old plug. The original patina excellent throughout. This is a very heavy and well made solid bronze Handel base. The geometric shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading tight and right. I very much like the red border glass around the top ring to give it even more life. You will not very often see a 24 inch leaded Handel shade, let alone in this condition. This is a commanding lamp and will take over whatever room its in. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Manhattan ny to boston ma. To all potential buyers. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. That’s a substantial savings, so please factor that in when making your offer.
