Antique Unique Arts & Craft Filigree Bent Circular Slag Glass Table Lamp. This is a Very Unique and Unusual Raised Filigree Slag Glass Table Lamp. The slag glass is bent & circular which I personally have never seen before. I have seen lots of bent panel slag glass lamps but none that are bent to create a circular lamp shade. It is quite interesting they did it with four panels held in with tabs just as most slag lamps have. It has a raised attached floral pattern with a cross hatched filigree pattern also. The lamp is I believe a cast white metal and it is quite heavy and very solid it weighs 19.7.5 pounds. It has it’s original finish it is old so there are a few somewhat small areas of finish loss. I do not see any missing pieces on the shades frame and all the little tabs holding the glass are there. I see some areas of solder on the inside I’m not sure if that is factory or if they did it after the fact. It is something you do not see unless you turn the shade over and quite honestly I believe it is factory! There is actually still some of the mold material still on the slag glass from when they bent the glass using a mold. I do not see any makers marks so I have no clue whom the maker is but it is made very well. The sockets are not original the original sockets were in very poor condition! There is one Hubbell with an acorn pull and the other is an Arrow with a ball pull. The wiring to the sockets has been changed also it had single solid core wiring originally. The cord may be original but I’m not sure it was with the lamp when it was found. This very unique lamp stands 23″ the shade is 7 1/2″ tall about 15 1/2 wide and as I said it weighs 19.7.5 pounds. I do not believe you will be at all disappointed with this very beautiful and different table lamp. To me it has a wonderful Arts & Craft look! I believe because of the wiring it dates from 1920 to 1930 but could possibly be earlier. Thank you for your interest! In the case of a Holiday it may take a bit longer!!! But don’t expect to find anything remotely Victorian!! So please try to be somewhat kind because sadly it’s really easy to hurt us with those star ratings!! I Do Also Except E-Check!!!
