This is one stunning Chicago Empire Slag Lamp! Measures about 25 1/2 inches high. The shade is about 20 inches across, point to point, and 18 inches across, flat to flat. This is the most desirable of Chicago Empire Lamps, with Swans on the Verdi Green Base and Birds/Swallow filigree over the 16 paneled green/caramel slag glass panels. The lamp was professionally restored with several birds replaced. All panels were removed, carefully cleaned and reinstalled. The sockets work well and the wiring is in good condition. The photo of this lamp was taken from the reference book, Electric Lighting of the 20s & 30s, Vol. The pictures do not do this gorgeous lamp justice! Here we have a really unique circa 1920′s era CYLINDER FORM BENT PANEL SLAG GLASS SCENIC LAMP we acquired out of an estate. It has three filigree scenic sides with a swimming swan. It is fairly tall measuring approximately 21 inches high with a 6 1/2 inch base. This is not an example we have ever seen, and imagine it is not an easy lamp to find very unique! The over all condition appears to be pretty decent – see pictures. The gold paint looks like it may be original? But we’re not totally sure. It has certainly been there for a very long time. The caramel slag glass is in nice condition with no cracks. The pull chain works for off an on. It has a really nice look and would make for a nice touch in any room of your home you choose to display and use it in. The new owner is to pay 45.00 for secured FEDERAL EXPRESS. Stunning Pittsburg reverse painted lampshade. Found in an old attic here in NJ at an old estate sale.
