Description: Up for sale is this very beautiful leaded and slag glass table lamp. The base was originally a gas lamp (note pipe fitting at base). So it would date to the late 19th or early 20th century. Lamp is brass with cast iron ballast at base. It has two sockets with pull cords. I have had the lamp re-wired entirely with modern cord. Shade was added after the gas conversion to electric but is probably around 1920. Wonderful floral pattern (red poppy flowers I believe). With green leaf design at top and caramel glass around. Much of the glass has been bent which is unusual. No Maker’s marks on base or shade. Really a very beautiful and unusual lamp that might be of interest.
