Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself! Just a beautiful design on this slag glass urn lamp. The slag glass components are a white color and are on the sides, top and bottom. The top part is done as a lid and is removable. Then what really finishes the look of this lamp off are the glass prisms around the whole perimeter of the lamp. The prisms are all there, some minor chipping and dirtiness. Copper hangers for the crystal prisms are not all original. Can see bubbling in them when the glass was cast, nice touch to reflect age. The lamp dates to the circa 1920s to the 1930s period. Very intricately detailed metal frame that is gold colored. Appears to be a Hercules or Atlas figure, most likely Atlas, holding up the shade. The shade had gold colored designs of columns, curtains and full length women that securely hold the glass and accentuate the beauty of the shade. Just beautiful when lit, and yes, this lamp does work (no bulb will be provided)! All the metal frame seems to be intact, no missing pieces or repairs. We also do not observe any cracks, hairlines or repairs in any of the pieces of slag glass. The glass crystal prisms will be taken off the shade and packed away separately for their safety/ So, expect some re-assembly on your part. The metal base has raised design on it. The frame has a gold colored bronzed look to it. We do not see any maker markings on the lamp. Looks very similar to Pittsburgh Glass Lighting pieces we have had in the past. Could be marked and we just don’t know what we should be looking for. The electric cord on the lamp was replaced at some point. Still looks to be in good shape, no cracking or fraying. Interesting tie-in of the wiring under the lamp base. You may want to have an electrician take a look at before you use for any length of time. I have for sale an antique double socket caramel slag glass lamp. The lamp is unmarked but my best guess is it is a Miller lamp. There were two other caramel slags lamps along with this one, both of them were marked Miller, and they had an almost identical style. Overall the lamp is in very good condition. If you look at the photos below, on the underside of the shade, you can see a couple very minor chips on the edges. These couple chips are hidden and can’t be seen. For your consideration is this vintage slag glass accent lamp. It has been restoredre-gilt and rewired. The cord is the appropriate cloth-wrapped style cord and vintage plug as may have been found on this style lamp when it was new. As you can see in the photos, the 3-way switch allows for 3 different lighting positionsjust the top, just the base, or top and base together. The original slag glass is a lovely moss green shade. The body and shade of the lamp is made out of lead/pewter and brass. The pewter has a bit of flexibility to it. The lamp has been re-gilt and antiqued. This is the appropriate finish as was on the lamp originally. Since it has been rewired, It is in good working order. All the slag glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
