Antique Large 16 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Unsigned

Antique Large 16 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Unsigned

Antique Large 16 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Unsigned. This is a Very Large 16 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp that is absolutely stunning. The lamp is not signed but I believe it is very possibly Bradley & Hubbard. It is very old slag glass and the colors are fantastic deep dark caramel swirl. You can clearly tell it is very early slag glass it has deep factory lines in the glass very rich looking. The panel are held in with metal slats that have tiny screws holding them. I do see two of the tiny screws are missing but I’m sure the are quite easy to replace. The base has typical age appropriate wear and distinctive characteristics in accordance to many years of use but is still quite nice. I see no damage on any panels there are deep line that have become dark from picking up dirt and dust but there are no cracks or chips that I see. The cor has been changed it had an old cloth cord but it was in bad condition it now has a fairly long and more modern cord. I did put a picture of the original cord in the listing you can clearly see it is quite rough. The lamp has a single pull chain socket with a great old patina and a 3 arm harp with a heavy cast bottom it is definitely a well made lamp. It stands 24″ tall the shade is 0″ tall 20 1/2″ at widest point 19 3/4″ across the panels and it weighs 22.4 pounds. This truly is a wonderful old table lamp in very nice condition! Thank you for your interest! In the case of a Holiday it may take a bit longer!!! But don’t expect to find anything remotely Victorian!! So please try to be somewhat kind because sadly it’s really easy to hurt us with those star ratings!! I Do Also Except E-Check!!! The absence of a condition statement on effects of normal aging does not imply that the item is in like new condition or completely free from wear and tear, small imperfections or the effects of aging is present in 99% of all antique and vintage collectible items. I SELL VERY ECLECTIC MIX OF FINE QUALITY LIGHTING MOSTLY OIL LAMPS BUT ALSO CLOCKS!! I CHECK THEM OUT WELL AND TRY TO EXPLAIN THEM AS BEST THAT I CAN, PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES WELL!!! What a cool design and great look. This is a very very seldom seen lamp folks. Anything with fish on the base makes something like this very desirable. The base measures 15.5 inches tall, its protrudes out 9 inches, and the shade is 5 inches wide. As such more multi purpose. The base without any damage and needs no excuses. Its in fine working order and is properly signed underneath the base plate. There are no missing parts or pieces. Onto the shade, The shade in very nice overall condition and has no breaks or cracked panels and the leading holding the panels in is all tight and right. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it.
