Antique Victorian Gothic Slag Glass Hanging Hallway Lamp-Metal Scroll Work
Hello, you are viewing my sale for an Antique Victorian Gothic Slag Glass Hanging Hallway Lamp with Intricate Scroll Work throughout the metal shade. This lamp is in perfect working condition. It weighs 3.4 pounds and measures 6 and 1/2″ tall (shade only) by 10″ tall with the lightbulb socket by 4 and 1/2 across at the bottom of the shade opening. This is a 6 side light fixture. I believe that the lightbulb socket assembly originally did not go with the shade and was added on at a later date. The shade may have originally gone to a different lamp or fixture. The light bulb assembly sits slightly loose in the shade. There is a small screw holding the lightbulb socket assembly. I have shown this in my photographs. The details throughout the scroll work are stunning. A magnet will only stick to the top of the shade and not the scroll work. There are no breaks or repairs present. Miller Antique Vintage Tiffany style 6 Panel Slag Glass Scroll Ornate lamp 1899
The bulb socket dates June 13, 1899 and the base is stamped MLCO 235 which is Miller Light Company. The lamp weight is about 10 lbs. The shade is about 6lbs 6 oz. And base and shaft is about 3lbs. Set up it is 20 1/2 inches height and 16 inches wide corner to corner of the farthest tips of this gorgeous Pentagon shaped shade. The slag glass is mostly green, brown and white variations. All glass is in tack with no cracks. I took a shot of the 9+ foot cord as I doubt it is original. The Last picture shows these little stubs where 3 of the 12 are worn or missing at the bottoms of the lamp frame but you really need to be analyzing the lamp to ever notice. Otherwise this is in great shape. I did not want to clean off the lamp other than a light dusting/vacuuming, as I was unsure of its elements gold, brass, iron? Antique Vintage Slag Glass and Metal 8 Panel Scroll Ornate Lamp Shade
Stunning 8 panel slag glass lamp shade found in an old attic here in NJ at an old estate sale. Very ornate thick scroll pattern detail around edge opening which measures approximately 3 5/8 high. 8 panel style; please see pics. Shade opening at bottom is 17 1/8″ across x 5″ high overall. Shade is in need of a very good cleaning. There is also some white residue on the metal components here and there some spots worse than others; not sure if this will clean off as I didn’t clean this in any way. I’m guessing it will but I’m not sure so please note it. There is also a small split on the metal of one of the vertical accents on top of shade as well as a few other minor splits on the metal in the very intricate thick metal accent around edge here and there; I have included a close up of the vertical metal piece with the split for your information. Beautiful addition to any collection and a very unique style to this shade!!
