Offering this lovely Victorian curved eight panel slag glass lamp shade with a gorgeous floral glass bead fringe. This can be used for a hanging light or be mounted as seen on a table lamp, topped with a fancy finial. From a local York County estate sale, this appears to be a pale purple swirl slag glass, until lit and it is actually pink. No damage to any of the glass, it is all tight in the frame and is just lovely! The slag glass shows some air bubbles within the glass. The metal is nicely embossed both on the cuff around the top as well as between the panels. The glass bead fringe is fantastic with only one strand missing. The thread is still there, the beads have slipped off. It is barely noticeable, but could be easily replaced if you wished. The top for hanging or sitting on a lamp is a single metal bar with a hole in the center to fit either a finial or a hanging light. With the fringe the shade measures 16.5 tall. The fringe being 6 long. The shade measures 9″ across the top and 16″ across the bottom. Just a beautiful shade with wonderful colors and overall condition! Due to the size and fragility of this item, extra packaging will be required.
