An early 20th century cast iron lamp with Miller Statue of Liberty slag glass shade, illegibly signed but for the maker’s location, “Chicago”, the base with classical ornament and supporting a slender vase form column surmounted by a Miller “Statue of Liberty” slag glass shade. Base now painted green and with losses, shade is not a perfect fit with the ring, must be carefully centered prior to tightening the finial, glass good, later ring soldered to top, one rib on shade with split, minor bends ACCESSORIES: Lamp Base. 24.5 x 19.25 in. Some cracks and splits to metal decoration in several places. A few small pieces of metal decoration missing from a few panels. Slag Glass is all excellent with no broken panels. 1920′s Grant’s Tomb & Statue of Liberty New York Curved Slag Glass Hanging Lamp
1920′s Grant’s Tomb and Statue of Liberty New York City Curved Slag Glass Hanging Lamp! It measures 22″ by 13″ tall. While there are very minor issues, it is in very nice condition considering the age and size of this fragile lamp. Two of the lower green glass pieces are loose and I removed them for safekeeping. There is some bending of the lower fringe which could probably be straightened out (by you). One of the small pieces of round shaped top glasses is cracked (photo of it in the photos).
