HUGE Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Arts & Crafts Griffin Form Lamp Base
Here’s a HUGE and very rare Handel triple griffin lamp base. Solid bronze with an additional heavy weight on the bottom. 29″ tall, 12″ round at the bottom. Complete with three matching Hubbell stamped sockets having their original porcelain interiors and acorn pull chains. Includes cap and finial and is even wired up with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use. This is a very large and heavy lamp base….. Big enough for any of their very large leaded or overlay shades. It is not signed (probably had a cloth felt and tag on the bottom), but is 100% guaranteed to be a Handel lamp base. RARE Handel Leaded Slag Stained Glass Griffin FLOOR Lamp Base
This is an RARE, 100% original and authentic, Handel griffin floor lamp base. I have seen this design in table bases, but not on floor lamps before. This one has a rather thin stem, so I expect it was made for a mica or cloth type shade. It is large and impressive, standing at 67 1/2″ tall with a bottom that is about 12″ in diameter. The base has its original finish, cluster, cap and unusual multi-faceted glass finial. Sockets are marked ARROW and have their original porcelain interiors and tassel ends (which is also why I expect this was for a cloth or mica shade since other Handel items typically come with Hubbells and acorn pulls). It does not appeared to be signed anywhere that I can see, but is 100% authentic period Handel (and not a copy or reproduction). Antique ART DECO Era WINGED GRIFFIN & INDIAN STATUE Figural SLAG GLASS Old LAMP
Ready for Display or a Light Restoration. Antique Indian & Griffin Figural Slag Glass Lamp. This is a Great looking Art Deco era 1930′s parlor Lamp featuring an Impressive Reticulated Metal Portion with Winged Griffins backed with Beautiful Blue & White Slag Glass. The top corners are decorated by Seated Indians with another 4 figural Busts on the Post. The finish is lightly worn and the top pieces of lighting have been removed years ago but the style & Back Lit Griffins are Simply To Die For! This lamp would be prefect for display where the top is not overly visible or you could easily restore the top portion back to its original former glory. Overall a Very Seldom Seen & Unique Lamp. 1 of 50+ Estate Fresh Items Picked Weekly. Solid as can be with light age wear to the finish. The top at one time was wired with 4 “stems” coming out of the top but they are no longer present. Overall a VERY Impressive looking base with light age wear to the finish but nothing of great concern. The wiring has been updated over the years and although it is functional it should always be looked over by a professional. Overall a very unqiue lamp ready for display or for a light restoration!
