Antique Art Nouveau Uranium Glass Wood Base Goose neck Lamp Grn Slag Glass Shade
We view lamps as more than lighting, we view them as art. As more than a way to brighten a room, a way to brighten ones day. This is another I have repurposed. The original base was damaged, with one leg of footed base broken off. I replace it with the wood base shown. Up for consideration is this Awesome Antique Art Nouveau Goose Neck Distressed Detailed Adjustable Gooseneck with Couple Embracing at Base Table Desk Lamp with Uranium Glass on Added/Repurposed Hand Carved Dark Rose Colored Hardwood Asian Base (originally would have been for vase display/stand) and Darker Green Slag Glass Tulip Shade. It features a socket based pull chain and inline on/off switch. It is in excellent vintage antique estate condition. There are areas of patina or tarnish (see photos). It measures’as shown in gallery photo’ approximately 11 inches from back side gooseneck to other side tulip shade, 5.25 inches in diameter for tulip shade, 6 inches in diameter footed base and 17 inches tall. This is a beautiful antique slag glass goose neck office or piano lamp which is supported by a weighted base for a strong foundation. This lamp measures 12 1/2 high to the top of the goose neck, while the shade at the bottom is 6 3/4 diameter. Also notice the unique and detailed lily pad with floral designed base on this lamp. All original antique slag glass paneled desk lamp with adjustable goose neck stand. Notice that you can adjust the stand in two different places to help get the desk lamp at just the right angle. This shade measures 7 diameter at the bottom and the bottom of the stand is an oval shape measuring 8 x 6. The height of the goose neck frame is 13 high.
